WAIST All Brands

WAIST

Lay garment flat, face up with waistband edges flush so that no dipping occurs at center.

Measure along top edge of waistband, outside edge to outside edge. Double for total waist measurement.

QUALITY POINTS

Use ruler. There should be no slack in the waistband. Do not stretch waistband.

WAIST All Brands

WAIST, ALTERNATE METHOD - Due to thickness and/or styling, this alternate method may need to be used so that the waistband will lay smoothly.

Fold garment with fly turned to left. Measure along top edge of waistband, outside edge to outside edge. Double for total waist measurement.

QUALITY POINTS

Use ruler. There should be no slack in the waistband. Do not stretch waistband.

WAIST-Elastic All Brands ELASTIC WAIST (RELAXED) - This is a relaxed measurement. The waistband should be smooth and flat with no slack, but not stretched.

Lay garment flat, face up, with waistband edges flush so that no dipping occurs at center.

Measure along top edge of waistband, outside edge to outside edge.

Double for total waist measurement.

QUALITY POINTS

Use ruler. Do not stretch.

ELASTIC WAIST (S-T-R-E-T-C-H-E-D) - This is a stretched measurement. Stretch to full extension of elastic

Lay garment flat, face up, let pant lay naturally from waist. (Back will sit higher than front.)

Measure from bottom waistband seam, down 4 along outseam. (Or as indicated in Measurement Specification).

Measure straight across, outside edge to outside edge. Double for total high hip measurement.

QUALITY POINTS

Use measurement tape Garment must lay smooth and flat with no hidden wrinkles or pleats on underside.

higher than front.) Using the bartack at the bottom of the J-stitch as the measuring point, measure

straight across, outside edge to outside edge. Double for total seat measurement.

QUALITY POINTS

Use tape measure. Garment must lay smooth and flat with open pleats and no wrinkles on underside. Do not stretch garment.

Unbutton and unzip pants. Lay garment flat, face up, let garment fall naturally from waist. Using the bartack at the bottom of the J-stitch as the measuring point, measure

straight across, out side edge to outside edge. Double for total seat measurement.

If center creased, open up to measure. ELASTIC BOTTOMS (S-T-R-E-T-C-H-E-D) - This is a stretched measurement. Stretch to full extension of elastic.

Lay garment flat, face up. Roll side seams in. Stretch to full extension of elastic. Measure straight across bottom edge, outside edge to outside edge on left leg. Double for total bottom measurement.

QUALITY POINTS Use tape measure. If center creased, open up to measure.

INSEAM

Lay garment flat, face up. Use left leg. Garment must be horizontal with waistband at left. Measure from crotch point to bottom hem following seam shape.

QUALITY POINTS

Use ruler. Do not hold out inseam with both hands, this will stretch it. Pant must be measured flat on a table.

Lay garment flat, face up. Use left leg. Garment must be horizontal with waistband at left. Measure from crotch point to bottom edge of rib or cuff following seam shape.

QUALITY POINTS

Use ruler. Do not hold out inseam with both hands, this will stretch it. Pant must be measured flat on a table.
