THE CATECHESIS OF RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
will take place on Fridays from 6pm to 7pm in des-ignated places in the Lower Church. The first day of Catechesis will be Friday, September 20th. THE CATECHESIS OF CONFIRMATION Will take place on Wednesdays from 6pm to 7pm in the Lower Church. The first day of Catechesis of Confirmation will be Wednesday, September 11th.
REGISTRATION FEE The Registration fee for 2019-2020 will be $30. This will be used to pay for materials and other expenses related to Religious Education activities.

MASS CARDS AND SPIRITUAL BOUQUETS Parishioners are welcome to come to the office to
request a Mass Card or a Spiritual Bouquet. The
Mass Card is a remembrance by which we offer an
announced Mass for the repose of the soul of the de-
ceased person or for the intentions of the living. The
Spiritual Bouquet is an enrollments in which we re-
member the person enrolled at Mass offered every
week for both living and deceased.
CARING FOR YOUR SOUL A group dedicated to mutual support and encourage-ment drawing on prayer and spirituality as positive resources in the struggle with emotional health is-sues, in our own lives and the lives of those we love.

Meetings take place the on the first Thursday of the month from 10:00 am - 11:30 am in ROSA HALL (lower level of the church) Entrance on Union Park Street. Accessible Silver Line L4 or L5 and Next meeting SEPTEMBER 5TH
No one should feel alone in their struggle with any physical or emotional illness. Sharing each other’s stories can be liberating and welcome break in the silence that often surrounds emotional illness. This is the place to speak out and be heard in a safe confidential, and non-judgmental environment, where isolation and stigma dissipate as supportive community is created. All are Welcome Refreshments will be offered
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 15TH | 3PM Leo Abbott, Director Emeritus will rededicate the organ in concert. This concert will also celebrate the Titular Feast of the Cathedral, The Exaltation of the Holy Cross. Silent for two years during the renova-tion, the opulent new acoustic of the Cathedral has transformed the sound of the organ. Come and hear the organ as it has never been heard in our lifetimes!
RETURN OF THE PIPE ORGAN! Many have asked when we will hear the Cathe-dral’s beautiful historic E. & G. G. Hook & Hastings pipe organ. You may have heard it a little prior to the 4:30pm, 8am, and 1:30am Masses. Much progress is being made and approximately half of the instrument is playing now. With over 5,300 pipes, the process of tuning and regulating each and every pipe takes a couple of months.
Built in 1875 it is rare to have such a gem still tonal-ly intact. During the renovation, the entire instru-ment was covered and protected from construction dust. About half of its 5,318 pipes were removed and stored off-site. These are now in the process of being reinstalled. Some mechanical adjustments are being made in the mean time. All the pipes will be re-tuned and regulated in coming weeks. Hopefully, this mag-nificent instrument will be playing in full soon!
PARKING AT THE CATHEDRAL
Parking for Cathedral parishioners and volunteers is
available on-street and in the paid parking lots
(parking information is available here). Additional-
ly, the Cathedral is on the MBTA SL4 and SL5 Sil-
ver Line busses at the Union Park Street stop and is a
short walk from Back Bay Station on the Commuter
Rail and Orange Line. The rectory parking lot directly
behind the Cathedral can only be used by residents of
the rectory going forward. Cars not belonging to rec-
tory residents may have to be removed and
towed. Please make appropriate parking arrange-
ments or use the available public transportation op-
tions to visit the Cathedral of the Holy Cross going
forward. We thank everyone in advance for your co-
