Protecting Children from Sexual Abuse
The Children’s Advocacy Center of Suffolk County will present a
90–minute workshop for families
on Tuesday, April 30th at 6pm
at the Commons at Mayhew
Please and learn about:
How to identify when an adult may be “grooming” a child for a sexual abuse.
Signs of sexual abuse in children.
How to respond to disclosures or concerns of child sexual abuse.
How the CAC of Suffolk County can provide support.
Ways to protect children from sexual abuse by talking with children about boundaries and body safety, and monitoring children’s relationships with others.
Teen 3D Printing Workshop
What ideas would you like to bring to life?
Join instructors from Toysinbox 3D Printing in a series of workshops where kids can learn how a
3D printer works and design and make their own object. Students must register for all five classes. To reserve a spot, please contact the Uphams Corner Branch at 617.265.0139. For

11th Grade Music Project
Mrs. Stebbins wants to share some of the student music projects of some of our 11th graders enrolled in music this spring have created.
The links below will take you to an audio file
‘mash-up’ of 15 tracks, all created from scratch using free, web-based software. You can hear a wide variety of styles and musical interests. The
mash-up sounds best with headphones or decent speakers (as opposed to computer speakers) - some of the kids were especially excited about capitalizing on those low-end bass frequencies.

Proyecto de Música de 11vo Grado
La Sra. Stebbins quiere compartir algunos de los proyectos de música estudiantil de algunos de nuestros estudiantes de 11º grado inscritos en
música que esta primavera han creado.
Los siguientes enlaces les llevarán a un archivo de audio. ‘Mash-up’ de 15 pistas, todas creadas
desde cero utilizando software gratuito, basado en la web. Pueden escuchar una gran variedad de estilos e intereses musicales. La mezcla suena mejor con auriculares o altavoces decentes (a
diferencia de los altavoces de la computadora); algunos de los niños estaban especialmente en-
tusiasmados con la capitalización de esas frecuen-cias bajas de bajos.
