Operational EfficiencyThe Borri B500R delivers 28% more useable power than other UPS in its classthanks to the 0.9 output power factor.

When positioned in rack-mount form, the Borri B500R has a capacity of 6kVA/5.4kW contained within 3Uand 10kVA/9kW contained within 5U, which includes internal batteries to provide standard runtime.This gives the user more valuable space within the rest of the rack for IT & Comms equipment.

Its online double conversion topology completely isolates the output voltage and frequency supplied tothe users valuable load from incoming mains power anomalies.

In addition, sophisticated ECO functions enable the B500R to achieve an industry leading 98% efficiency.

Borri’s B500R rotation series incorporates some of

the most technically advanced UPS components

available and as such provide superior power

resilience and operational efficiency.

Flexibility Designed to deliver maximum user flexibility, the B500R has beenbuilt with an internal static bypass switch enabling users to carry outmaintenance and battery replacements safely on the units withoutthe need to power down the load.

Additional runtime with unlimited hot swappable battery modulesmakes the Borri B500R series easily scalable.

An additional UPS unit can also be connected in parallel to share thecritical load and provide N+1 redundancy for the most resilient solution.

Expandable RuntimeUnlimited expandable runtimewith matching batterymodules allow the user toincrease the amount of timethe UPS will run the connectedcritical loads during a mainsfailure. They can be purchasedand connected after the initialinstall if required.

Hot-swap BatteriesThe internal batteries of theUPS can be "Hot Swapped"safely by the user without theneed for a power down. Thebatteries are located in aseparate internal enclosureensuring the users safety whileperforming this task.

B500R Main Features

Functionality

The B500R incorporates a smart, adjustable dot matrixLCD display with an intuitive menu system so that allparameters can be viewed directly from the UPS. Alsoincluded is advanced monitoring and shutdownsoftware, which can be installed on all connected loaddevices and as such maximises battery runtime asdifferent devices can be shutdown at varying batterycapacity levels.

Borri’s software does not require any supplementarylicences and is compatible with a multitude ofoperating systems including Windows, Linux, IBM andHP and as well as virtualised platforms such as VMwareESX 3.5, 4.0, 4.1 and VMware ESXi 4.0, 4.1, 5.0, 5.1.

Dot Matrix LCD DisplayAll parameters can easily beread from a single Dot MatrixLCD screen, an intuitive menusystem allows the user to scrollthrough a multitude of historylogs, settings and currentconditions. In the event of theUPS being overloaded,overheated or any other faultoccurring, which would leavethe critical load withoutprotection, the whole displayturns red alerting the user torectify the problemimmediately.

Network Management CardThe Borri NMC option enables the UPSto be monitored and controlled overthe LAN, the UPS has its own dedicatedIP address, which can then send SNMPtraps or email warnings over thenetwork to other devices.

IEC OutletsThe B500R has a number IEC C13 andC19 outputs (model dependant) inaddition to a hardwired terminaloutput. If the user requests the plug ‘n’play option the UPS can be installedwithout the need for an electrician.
