DIGITAL APPRENTICESHIPThe Digital Apprenticeship Scheme is looking for employers to o�er apprenticeship(s) to local students.
Apprenticeships are a beneficial way to allow students to stay on-island and develop their technical skills, earning whilst they learn and developing those all-important employability skills.

Student salaries
Apprentice trainingDuring the apprenticeship, students will complete their ICT-related qualification at University College Isle of Man (UCM).
Students will study either:

17 £7.70 £15,008.50
18 £8.61 £16,783.00
19 £8.81 £17,173.00
20 £9.01 £17,563.00
21 - 24 £9.21 £17,953.00
25+ £9.41 £18,343.00
Age at start of
Apprentices will enter a two year contract with you as your employee, with your business paying their salary*.Students should be paid the following at the start of their apprenticeships:
Level 3 National Diploma in IT: Equivalent to A Levels
One day per week
Applicants must have:at least 4 GCSEs grade A to C; or
a BTEC level 2 Extended Certificate in ICT at Merit level.
Level 4 BTEC HNC in Computing: Equivalent the first year of an
undergraduate degree programmeHalf day per week
Applicants must have:a BTEC level 3 qualification; or
A-level subjects; orrelevant work experience.
The Department for Education, Sport and Culture will pay for apprentices’ UCM fees.
* there may be funding available from the Department for Education, Sports and Culture to help cover some of the costs when the student is on day release at UCM.
