Playground Extension The new playground equipment arrived today! The

children are very excited and are looking forward to being

able to use it next week sometime! It will also be available

for community use during the holidays as part of the Share

Our Space Program. This program allows everyone in the

community to enjoy our playground, oval and sports courts

to encourage children and families to keep active.

Beach to Bush

Surf Lifesaving NSW travelled to Boomi on Tuesday. Their

one-hour presentation focused on beach and water safety.

Students learnt about

general beach safety, sun

safety, rips and waves,

sea creatures, basic first

aid, rescues and getting

help from a lifeguard. The

children engaged

positively with the

lifesavers and have come

away with some valuable

lessons about safety at

the beach and in the

water.

Presentation Day Update

It has been decided that Grandparents of Year 6 students may attend the

Presentation Day ceremony this year as it will be their final ceremony.

Unfortunately, at this time we are unable to allow more than the 2 adults

per family to attend for all other families. We will keep you informed of any

changes.

Transition for Kindergarten Students starting 2021

We will be running a transition program from 9 – 11:30am next Wednesday

25th November. To attend, enrolment forms must be completed and

returned to the school. Mrs Oates has some exciting activities organised for

the children to complete while they are here. We look forward to seeing the

amazing future students of Boomi Public School!

Rewards Day

To celebrate the success of the students

in the PBL merit level system, we will be

travelling to the Moree Pool and

waterslide on Tuesday 15th December.

We will leave school at 8:30am.

For your children to perform at their best, it is vital that

they are getting enough sleep. Lack of sleep has a

detrimental effect on their ability to learn and function at

school.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any concerns, queries or

great ideas.

STUDENT OF THE WEEK AND THE SHINING STAR AWARD

This weeks Student of the Week is Jack for always

demonstrating persistence. Ally is our Shining Star for being

able to laugh at herself.

*The recycling shuttles are in place at the Tuckshop gate. One

is for cans, poppers and plastic drink bottles (NOT MILK

CONTAINERS).

The other is for small glass bottles NO WINE or LARGE SPIRIT

BOTTLES thanks. All funds raised will support the school P&C.

Please drop off your recycling anytime.

*January Swimming 2021Boomi. Expressions of interest.

In January 2021 at Boomi Pool there will be no Intensive

Swimming by Royal Life or Sport and Recreation as lots of you

have known in past years.

However I am happy to provide a week of Intensive Swimming

from January 4 to January 8. One week or 5 days as opposed

to a 2 week program of 8 days if anyone would like to join me.

I will be in Sydney from December 30th until the morning of

January 4th. So as you will be able to work out, I will not be in a

position to redo classes the day before, due to late

enrolments, as I have done so for many years in the past.

If you would be interested in joining these classes please let

me know ASAP so I can start putting together a list and

working out the best fit for all.
