AIESEC AREQUIPA
AIESEC Arequipa, Peru part of AIESEC, a global, non-political, independent, nonprofit, run by
students and recent graduates of institutions of higher education and its members are interested
in world issues, leadership and management.
AIESEC does not discriminate by race, color, gender, sexual orientation, creed, religion,
nationality or ethnic or social origin.

charisma and kindness. Like all other Peruvians.
AIESEC Arequipa, with approximately 70 members in the diferents areas to work. Will five you a
warms welcome to our friendly town and kindly people. Always ready to welcome with open arms
all those who choose to come here.

Money
The current currency in Perú is the “Nuevo Sol ( PEN )”. The PEN is in cents of 0.10, 0.20, 0.50;
in coins of in 2, 5 and in bills of 10, 20, 50, 100 and 200.
A few years ago, the national bank of reserve to Peru, began creating 24 pieces of different
models, which are gradually entering the market. Being one of these awarded Best currency in
2013, in the category of design.

100 COP = 1.40 PEN
1 BRL = 1.28 PEN
1 EUR = 3.40 PEN
ELECTRICITY
Electricity in Peru is 220 Volts, alternating at 60 cycles per second. If you travel to Colombia with
a device that does not accept 110 Volts at 60 Hertz, you will need a voltage converter.
Weather
Peru, does not has an exclusively tropical climate, the influence of the Andes and the Humboldt
current gave a great variety of climates around Peruvian Territory. If you want to know more
