Join us for our 8th Annual Dublin Women’s Convention. This year our theme is “Identity in Christ.”

The book of Ephesians will be our guide as we understand what our Identity in Christ is and how it changes who we are and how we live.

Our speaker this year is Karen Soole. Karen lives in Lancaster, UK, is married to Martin, a GP and church planter, and is mother to four now grown children. She is the Women’s Worker at the newly planted Trinity Church, Lancaster and is author of ‘Unleash the Word’ a book on how to do small group bible studies. She is the chair of the Northern Women’s Convention and is involved in training and supporting women’s ministry in her region.

TimetableIdentity Redefined Ruth Bridcut & Esther LynchWhat do others think of me? What do I think of myself? How does God see me? So often this dominates our thinking and our struggles with pride, self esteem and identity. This seminar is an opportunity to consider examples of identity struggle and to explore how the Bible guides and redefines our thinking about ourselves as we find our identity in Christ.

Identity in action and in armour Miriam NeillGiven our glorious identity in Christ, what does it look like to live this out, facing the daily battle with sin and the enemy’s attacks, the struggles and temptations of life in this world? During this seminar we will be based in Ephesians 6:10-20 considering the nitty gritty of this war and the practical protection from God which His armour provides.

Living in a gender confused world Karen SooleMatters of gender are in the news. They fuel much current political debate and are rarely far below the surface in conversations at work and at home. Whether we like it or not gender matters. But what really is gender? How does it relate to our identity in Christ and our understanding of God’s purposes? How does a clear understanding of gender equip us to speak of Christ to a gender confused world?

Identity in community Helen SheridanIn a culture that prizes independence and autonomy, how are we to be distinctive as those who are united to Christ, called into community with Him and one another? In what ways should our unity with Christ work out in day to day life with one another? What privileges does this bring and what loss is there in its absence?
