DARREN PATIN (Marco & John Paul u/s, Dance Captain) is originally from Texas City, Texas, and came to Chicago to pursue a degree in BFA Musical Theatre Performance from Columbia College Chicago. Darren was last seen as the Male Swing in The Wiz with Kokandy Productions. Some of his other Chicago and college credits include: “Mohawk Guy” (High Fidelity – Refuge Theatre Project), “Noodler” (Peter Pan – Windy City Music Theatre), “Taxi Driver” (Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown – CCC), and “CB” (Dog Sees God – CCC). He would like to thank his family for their endless support, and his friends for constantly motivating him to be a better performer.

BRITTANY STOCK (Kathy u/s) is so excited to be working with Kokandy Productions for the first time. In Chicago and throughout the midwest, Brittany has worked with Aston Rep, Stone Soup Shakespeare, Fox Valley Rep, The Waltzing Mechanics, Underscore Theatre Company, and Hope Summer Repertory Theatre, among others. She received her B.A. in Theatre from Hope College, where she had the honor of performing at the national level of the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival in the world-premiere production of Rose and the Rime.

AJA WILTSHIRE (Kathy) is excited to be working with Kokandy for the first time! She has previously worked with the Steep (Hookman), Hypocrites (Cinderella at the Theater of Potatoes), Goodman (Teddy Ferrara (u/s)), Griffin (Spring Awakening), Haven (The Wedding Singer), Profiles (After.(u/s)). Aja is an ensemble member with The Hypocrites, a company member of AstonRep (Closer, Next Fall, The Lyons) and founding member and Marketing Director of Adapt Theatre (Pride and Prejudice). Aja is represented by Stewart Talent.

CURTIS BANNISTER (John Paul) Described by TimeOut Chicago as “radiating with slowly simmering energy” for his performance as “Man 1” in Jason Robert Brown’s Songs for a New World, Curtis Bannister has been praised in both the operatic and musical theatre repertoire. For the 2016/17 season, Mr. Bannister returned to the roster at Lyric Opera of Chicago for their productions of Les Troyens and Norma, performed as tenor soloist in Haydn’s Lord Nelson Mass for the Baltimore Choral Arts Society, and debuted with Writers Theatre as “Lieutenant Barri” in a reading of Stephen Sondheim’s Passion. Additional season performances include: his debut with Porchlight Music Theatre as “Edward Moncrief” in On A Clear Day You Can See Forever, a recital tour in Sicily, Italy, in August 2017, and a return to Writers Theatre understudying the roles of Jim Conley/Newt Lee/Riley. In April 2017, Curtis was the Special Performance Award recipient in The Kurt Weill Foundation’s Lotte Lenya Competition. Future season engagements include: debuts in New York City, Philadelphia, Chicago, and Cologne, Germany. Many thanks to the artistic team at Kokandy for giving me a crack at this fantastic show and to this talented cast and crew. Love and thanks to my mentor and role model H.W.C. – I miss and am grateful for you every day.

KYRIE COURTER (Anne Frank) is thrilled to be back at Theater Wit with Kokandy Productions! She was last seen on this very stage in Kokandy’s production of The Wiz. She is a recent graduate of The Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University, where she received a BFA in Musical Theater. Favorite credits include: “Michelle Morris” (Dreamgirls), “Fran Kubelik” (Promises, Promises), “Sheila” (HAIR), “Marta” (Company), “Ti Moune” (Once On This Island), “Sarah” (Ragtime), and “Vanessa” (In The Heights). Kyrie would love to thank her incredible family for their undying support and love. ADAM FANE (Marco) couldn’t be happier to finally make his Kokandy debut with Little Fish. Theatre credits include roles in Rock of Ages (National Tour), Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Mamma Mia!, Hairspray, and Mary Poppins (Paramount Theatre), Ride the Cyclone, Gypsy and Shrek the Musical (Chicago Shakespeare Theater), Cabaret (Theater at the Center), Avenue Q (Mercury Theater), First Date (Royal George), Spring Awakening (Griffin Theatre Company), Hello Again (Boho Theatre), Avenue Q (NightBlue – Jeff Nomination). Adam recently had the privilege of shooting a supporting role in Canal Street, a film starring Mekhi Phifer & Nora Dunn. Adam is pretty friggin’ stoked to work with this talented company! CASEY HAYES (Robert 8/1 – 8/20) is excited to return to the Kokandy stage! You may have seen him last year in Kokandy’s Heathers. Other credits include: Theatre at the Center, Black Ensemble Theater, and NightBlue. He recently made his network TV debut on Fox’s Empire. Enjoy the show!

CARL HERZOG (Mr. Bunder) is returning to Kokandy after performing in Tomorrow Morning last year. Other Chicago credits include: My Way: A Musical Tribute to Frank Sinatra (Theo Ubique), for which he received a Best Supporting Actor Jeff Award Nomination, “Stanley” in A Streetcar Named Desire (Jedlicka Performing Arts), Macbeth (Stone Soup Shakes) Cymbeline (Muse of Fire), and Downrange (Genesis Theatrical Productions). Other credits: “Billy Flynn” in Chicago and “Big Jule” in Guys and Dolls (New London Barn Playhouse), “Bobby” in Crazy for You, “Claggart” in Billy Budd, “Tony” in West Side Story, “Beast” in Beauty and the Beast, and “Radames” in AIDA (Mcleod Theater). Carl is very excited about two independent feature films he is working on (look for them in the next year!): Ace-High and The Contract. MEREDITH KOCHAN (Anne & Cinder u/s) is honored to be understudying for Kokandy’s production of Little Fish! TV/Internet Commercials: Cox Communications, Miller Lite. Meredith graduated with a BFA in Musical Theatre from Kent State University and is represented by Big Mouth Talent. TERESSA LaGAMBA (Cinder) is thrilled to be back with the Kokandy family (“Martha” – Heathers, “Catherine” – Tomorrow Morning). Other recent credits include: Sweeney Todd (Paramount Theatre), Schoolhouse Rock Live! with Broadway in Chicago (Emerald City Theatre). She has also worked with Porchlight Music Theatre, Haven Theatre, Griffin Theatre, and others. A Pittsburgh native, she received her BA in Acting and American Sign Language from Columbia College. For her family and coven, near and far.

NICOLE LAURENZI (Charlotte) couldn’t be happier to be making her debut with Kokandy Productions alongside this amazing cast and creative team. Since arriving from New York, Nicole has worked at The Marriott Theatre (Cinderella After the Ball u/s), Goodman (Another Word for Beauty, workshop), Oil Lamp Theater (Motherhood Out Loud). In September, she will be debuting The Death and Life of Billy The Kid; a multi medium folk opera created by Seth Bockley and Frank Maugeri. Before coming to Chicago, Nicole performed the role of “Lisa” in the Broadway National Tour of Mamma Mia! ALEXANDER RIDGERS (Lighting Designer) is a lighting designer based in Chicago hailing from Edinburgh, Scotland. Alexander worked as Associate Lighting Designer with Sell A Door Theatre Company before moving to Chicago to study an MFA in Theatre Design at Northwestern University. Other UK credits include: Royal Opera House 2, British Youth Opera, National Youth Theatre of GB, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and many Edinburgh Fringe Festival productions. Since being based in the US, Alexander has designed with Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts in Indiana, American Theatre Company, Theatre Wit, Griffin Theatre Company, The New Colony Theater Company, Northwestern University, and assisted with Marcus Doshi Design. Alexander is Adjunct Lecturer of Lighting Design at the University of Illinois at Chicago, as well as the 2016 winner of the Best Student Exhibit at the Michael Merritt Awards. SHAWN RODRIGUEZ (Master Electrician) is a theater technician and director based in Chicago. He has previously served as Master Electrician for Sideshow Theatre Company, Rivendell Theatre Ensemble, Porchlight Music Theatre, and for Lookingglass Theatre Company’s Thaddeus and Slocum: A Vaudeville Adventure. He also serves as the Managing Artistic Director of Dear Stone Theater Company, where he most recently directed Thom Pain (based on nothing).

ARNEL SANCIANCO (Set Designer) Originally from San Diego, Arnel implanted himself at the heartbeat of theatre in Chicago. He’s received his MFA from Northwestern and is currently designing Steppenwolf’s CRUCIBLE as well as Gift theatre’s PILGRIMS. ZACH SCHLEY (Techincal Director) is very proud to be working on his first show with Kokandy Productions as co-Technical Director. He has assisted on the set construction for numerous theaters across the city including Kokandy Productions, Remy Bumppo Theatre Company, Porchlight Theatre, and Timeline Theatre Company to name a few. Zach is a proud graduate of Roosevelt University’s CCPA.

KATE SETZER KAMPHAUSEN (Costume Designer) is delighted to design costumes for Little Fish. She last worked with Kokandy Productions on their critically acclaimed production of Loving Repeating. Kate has recently designed for The New Colony, Chicago Folks Operetta, Harper College under director Elizabeth Margolius, and Dan Savage’s Miracle! with Hell in a Handbag, where she is a company member. She is a Jeff Award winner and the proud possessor of fifty-eight bright pink dreadlocks.

KAIT SAMUELS (Stage Manager) is starting her third season with Kokandy Productions! Kokandy credits: The Wiz,Tomorrow Morning, Heathers: The Musical, A Kokandy Christmas, and The Full Monty. Chicago credits: the Non-Equity Jeff Awards and the Chicago Humanities Festival. ALAN WEUSTHOFF (Technical Director) This is Alan’s third show with Kokandy Productions, where he previously built the sets for The Wiz and Heathers. As a freelance Technical Director, Alan has most recently built the sets for We’re Gonna Die with Haven Theatre and Hookman with Steep Theatre. Other Chicago credits include: Venus in Fur (Circle Theatre), Winterset (Griffin Theatre), How We Got On (Haven Theatre), and In The Heights (Porchlight Theatre). Alan is a graduate of the theater program at Truman State University in Kirksville, MO.

KASEY ALFONSO (Choreographer) Originally from Los Angeles, is now a Chicago-based performer and choreographer. She has worked all over Chicago, including Lookingglass Theatre, Paramount Theatre, Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, The Court Theatre, American Theatre Company, and Chicago Children’s Theatre. As a choreographer, her work has been featured with The Inconvenience (The Fly Honey Show), Quest Theatre Ensemble (The Fantasticks), and Inappropriate Theatre Company. She also teaches Dance at the Chicago Academy for the Arts.

EMILY BOYD (Paint Charge) originally hails from San Antonio, Texas, but came to the Second City for college and never left! Ms. Boyd attended The Theatre School at DePaul University, where she received her BFA in Scene Design, and abroad at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London, England. In addition to her work with Kokandy Productions, Ms. Boyd has also painted for such companies as Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, Broadway in Chicago, Porchlight, Metropolis Theatre, Trollwood Performing Arts School, Bailiwick, Haven Theatre, (re)Discover Theatre, Underscore Theatre Company, and The Circle Theatre. Emily is also the founder and head artist at Sass Flash and Graphics which will be at The Roger’s Pork Fair again this year, in early August, for the second year in a row.

KEEGAN BRADAC (Sound Engineer) is excited to be working with Kokandy Productions for the first time. He is a Chicago-based sound designer and engineer with a B.A. in Audio Arts and Acoustics from Columbia College. Most recently, he designed and engineered Porchlight Music Theatre’s productions of Marry Me a Little, The Scottsboro Boys, and Little Me. Other Sound Engineer credits include Ain’t Misbehavin’, Far from Heaven, Dreamgirls, In the Heights, Applause, Chess, The Rink (Porchlight); Thrones! The Musical Parody (Apollo Theater); and It’s a Wonderful Life (2016, American Blues Theater).

LINDSAY BROWN (Production Manager) is a proud Montana native who is thrilled to be working with Kokandy Productions again, where she previously served as Production Manager for The Wiz. She has worked with BoHo Theatre, Montana Shakespeare in the Parks, Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Windy City Playhouse, Strawdog Theatre, Grandstreet Theatre, and Merry-Go-Round Playhouse. She is a lover of all things dinosaur and sends big love to her family near and far, especially to M & S.

KORY DANIELSON (Music Director) is a Chicago-based music director, pianist/conductor, and vocal coach. His work with Kokandy includes productions of Assassins, The Full Monty, Loving Repeating, Heathers, and Tomorrow Morning . Kory also serves as the associate conductor/assistant music director at Paramount where he has worked on The Little Mermaid, Mamma Mia, West Side Story, Hairspray, A Christmas Story, Oklahoma!, Les Misérables, and Tommy. Other selected credits include: Passion – 2014 Jeff Award for Outstanding Music Direction, Smokey Joe’s Cafe (Theo Ubique); How To Succeed… (Porchlight); Hedwig, Wedding Singer (Haven); Zanna Don’t, Lucky Stiff, Triumph of Love (TMTC). Kory has also worked with Drury Lane, Broadway in Chicago, Chicago Children’s Theatre, Bailiwick, and Hell in a Handbag.

PHOEBE FOX (Assistant Choreographer) just completed her junior year at Northwestern University studying Theatre and Gender & Sexuality Studies. Northwestern credits include Student Body (True Northwestern Dialogue), “smear” (Danceworks 2017), and Discount Ghost Stories (American Music Theatre Project). Phoebe is infinitely grateful to Allison and Kasey for the opportunity to work with them on this amazing show with this incredible group of people.

MEALAH HEIDENREICH (Prop Designer) Prop designs include: Caged Dames and Miracle! with Hell in a Handbag Productions, A Funny Thing Happened on the way to the Forum with Porchlight Music Theatre, Really Really with Interrobang Theatre Project and Chalk with Sideshow Theater Company. Mealah is an ensemble member with Hell in a Handbag Productions and owes most of her success to her bestie Isaac and wife Debbie.

ALLISON HENDRIX (Director) is the Producing Artistic Director and a founding member of Kokandy Productions. Previous Kokandy credits include: Loving Repeating (Jeff Nomination – Direction – Musical), Assassins (“Lynette ‘Squeaky’ Fromme”), The Last Five Years (“Cathy,” Jeff Nomination – Principal Actress in a Musical), and The Great American Trailer Park Musical (Music Director). Other credits include: “Amy” in Company (Writers Theatre), “The Baker’s Wife” in Into the Woods (The Hypocrites), “Jimmi” and Music Director in Cities of Light (Piven Theatre Workshop), Associate Music Director/Conductor for Floyd Collins (Boho Theatre), Music Director for Zanna, Don’t (Bailiwick), and Music Director and recipient of NIETF Award for Best Vocal Direction for Floyd Collins (Towle Theatre). Allison also works with the Chicago Academy for the Arts, as a Teaching Artist with Broadway in Chicago, and as a vocal coach and accompanist for the Music Theatre program at Northwestern University.

At Theater WitWe are a theater company within a building, within a community, within a world.

As a production company, Theater Wit’s mission is to be the premier “smart art”

theater in Chicago by producing humorous, challenging, and intelligent plays that

speak with a contemporary theatrical voice.

As an institution, Theater Wit seeks to be the hub of the Chicago neighborhood

theater scene. In our three spaces, we bring together Chicago’s best storefront theater

companies. Here you will find a smorgasbord of excellent productions, see the work

of a parade of talented artists, and mingle with audiences from all over Chicago.

In the Middle of a CommunityEveryone here: folks in the audience… the person who handed you this program…

somewhere on or off the stage there are actors… if you look up in the corner you

might get a glimpse of the stage manager in the booth… We’re all in this room for

the same reason: to be a part of this shared experience. No matter who they are or

where they come from; no matter if they are complete strangers or familiar faces; no

matter how different the age, the race, or the walk of life; after this performance, you

will have something in common. So, strike up a conversation in the lobby, introduce

yourself to someone new. Meet our staff, shake hands with an actor, get a drink from

our bar. We’re all in this together.

Part of the Chicago SceneTheater is part of the Chicago experience. Each year, over 200 theaters present

thousands of shows to Chicago’s loyal and enthusiastic theater-going audience.

Chicago’s theater community is recognized around the world for its talent, its

innovation and its power to entertain and enlighten. If Tony awards were sports

championships, our artists would beat out the combined efforts of Michael Jordan,

Bobby Hull, Jim McMahon, Jermaine Dye, and the entire Chicago Cubs roster going

back 100 years. This stage is a Chicago stage, contributing to the vibrant artistic life

of our city and the economic development of our neighborhood. Very few cities on

the planet offer the theatrical richness and diversity of Chicago. But you get to share
