Public Notice Fannin County Electric Cooperative (FCEC) has a planned electrical outage for converting voltage at our Bonham Lake substation. This voltage conversion along with additional projects in the area will improve reliability and increase the capacity of our system. FCEC has contracted Canyon Power Solutions for this conversion. The conversion will require switching the transformer voltage at many service locations which will also require pulling the meters at these locations. FCEC has contracted Canyon Power Solutions for this voltage conversion. The dates of the conversion are March 26 through April 3, 2019. The area is north of Bonham and east of FM 273. The individual conversion areas and scheduled dates are shown on our website at www.fcec.coop and on our Facebook page. The conversion will be divided into 6 different areas and only one area will be converted at a time. No outage will start before 8:30 a.m. each morning. Some of the outages could last up to four or five hours for an individual area. There will be additional short outages once the substation voltage conversion and testing are completed and the load is switched back to the substation transformer. This should occur on the last day of conversion or the following day. We appreciate your patience during these outages. FCEC and our contractors will do everything possible to keep these outages as short as possible.
