Bona Power Drive The innovative Bona Power Drive creates a new dimension for sanding down to bare wood. Using a direction-free sanding technique, the drive combines excellent performance with easy operation. Four rotating discs (150 mm) sand closely to walls, which minimises edge sanding. The geared plate drives the rotating discs resulting in increased power for aggressive sanding of floors back to bare wood when used in combination with Bona 8700 Ceramic Abrasives.

For a really great finish, use Ceramic 50 grit Zirconium Mix 80 grit Zirconium Mix 120 grit.

Bona Power Drive NEB Counter rotating cylindrical wire heads brush away the soft wood, creating ridges between the woods grain to expose the natural pattern. This creates depth and texture enabling you to create two tone colour effects when combined with our oils and finishes. The brushes and sanding discs are mounted onto the Bona Power Drive NEB, and locked into place with just an easy click. The Bona Power Drive NEB gives you the unique flexibility to perform brushing, traditional abrading or bare wood sanding by simply switching the discs. The Power Drive NEB is designed to be used with the Bona FlexiSand 1.9.

Bona Supraflex A sanding machine for fine sanding and edge brushing and/or in combination with the Bona Power Drive NEB brushing system. It is supplied with guard/dust cover, vacuum hose for dust-free sanding and 150mm Velcro sanding pad. Supraflex has a powerful 1400w motor, and the speed can be easily adjusted between 600 and 2100 rpm. The low 120mm height means it is possible to reach under most open stairs and radiators. Safety

Safety Feature Highlights

The handles of the the Bona Scorpion, Bona Scorpion XL, Bona Combi Edge and Bona Dual Edge are all equipped with an operator presence on / off control system which means that as the switch (lever or trigger) is released the electrical power supply to the motor is immediately cut off.

This feature complies with the European Norms 2006/42 EC Machine Directive and EN ISO 12100 Safety of Machinery. General principles for design. Risk assessment and risk reduction.

The control handle of the Bona Scorpion is fully electrically isolated.

Both the Bona Combi Edge and Bona Dual Edge are equipped with front LED lights for optimal operation even in environments with poor lighting, thus granting a higher level of safety.

The Bona Scorpion is additionally equipped with a safety lock which avoids an accidental start.

Dust Bags

Bona Microfibre Disposable Dust Bags

An important part of the Bona Rental System is the use of microfibre disposable dust bags. These have many

advantages over disposable paper bags or reusable cotton bags.

1. Cloth bags, traditionally used in wood floor sanding, quickly become clogged and over time, allow dust to escape.

This causes unnecessary contamination on site and a health hazard to those doing the job. The seams on Bona

microfibre bags are sealed to prevent dust leakage. .

2. The machines are returned clean to you, the hirer, without a dirty, half full cloth bag. This reduces the time required to

service the machine and reduces the health and safety risk to your employees.

3. Disposable dust bags provide you with additional income, and eliminate the service cost of replacing or repairing a

cloth bag.

4. After use the full bags should be stored in a suitable container. Our bags have Dust Class M certification according to

EN 60335-2-69 for wood dust. This means that a maximum of 01 mg/m3 of dust is released in to the air during use.

Three layers of material are used to construct the bags for extra strength.

5. Compared to paper the microfibre material has a very low flashpoint according to the Norm DIN 53438. The bags are

fire resistant and if the dust inside catches fire, the bags themselves will not ignite.

6. Bona microfibre bags are stronger than dust bags made of paper and their 3-layer construction means they are very

difficult to tear during use.

Sanding Floorswith Bona Scorpion & Bona CombiEdge

Steps to a ready surfaceBona Scorpion is a lightweight, easy to operate expansion drum

sander, suitable for both wood and parquet floors. For best

results, we also recommend using an edge sander, such as the

Bona CombiEdge, for edges and hard to reach areas. Follow

these simple steps, ensuring you work systematically and evenly

throughout the entire sanding area.

Bare wood sanding Initial sanding is the most crucial step, as it removes the

worn protective layer and damage, down to the bare

wood. For best results, use Bona grit 40.

Intermediate and fine sandingFor intermediate sanding, use grit 60. Once the entire

area is completely free of old varnish and residue, fine

sanding is essential for a smooth, even surface. Use grit

100 for best results. Recommended sleeve change: every

5-10m2, depending on the type of lacquer to be applied.

Ready for a new coatingThe floor is now ready to apply a fresh coating of oil or

lacquer.

Effective edge sandingFor a perfect end result, finish with an edge sander. This

allows you to sand extremely close to walls and corners with

ease. For optimal dust containment use Bona microfiber dust

bags, ensuring the bag is firmly attached. Before starting the

machine, ensure the disc is raised off the surface.

Sanding directionsFor optimal control, operate from

the back of the sander, holding

both handles. Ensure the sander

is facing the edge and both

wheels remain in contact with the

floor at all times.

Sand using rotational movements

in a clockwise direction. Work

around the edge of the room.
