History• Bolton castle is located in Yorkshire England• Bolton Castle is a rectangular castle• Bolton Castle has 12 individual lodgings and 8 household suites• Bolton Castle took 20 years to build starting in 1799• Every door to the entrance had a portcullis

• The main entrance was on the East side• Historians have argued over whether Bolton Castle had a moat but most likely not• Bolton Castle was owned by the Le Scrope family• Bolton Castle was made out of stone• Mary Queen of Scotland was imprisoned at Bolton Castle• Bolton Castle also had machicolations also known as murder holes

I chose this castle because…I thought that it looked it looked interesting

and cool to learn aboutIt had some cool architecture
