Nature Girl Belts

Nature Girl Designs is a grass roots business. Every step of the creation process is informed by nature, from design to distribution.

Each of the buckles and cuffs are hand-crafted in a barn studio in Connecticut. The straps are made from Italian leather and vegan straps are available upon request.

Nature Girl Designs believes in the notion of “Fashion for Compassion” and they have donated proceeds to philanthropic causes such as Orphans of Uganda, the Breast Cancer Alliance, and most recently have formed an alliance with the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society known around the world for its efforts to preserve the biodiversity of our oceans.

NBC Pottery

Husband and wife team Nikki and Will Callnan, and the newest member of the family, their young son Gavin, all like to dig their hands into clay.

Their custom-made wares are simple yet sophisticated with an organic, earthy edge and sumptuous lines.

Both of them teach pottery at Napa Valley College as well as Nimbus Arts. Their pieces have been shown in private galleries around the country as well as winery exhibits throughout the valley.

As Nikki says, the work has “a unique signature and personality of its own, like that of a fingerprint.”

Growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area with hippie, DIY’er parents, Tara and her sister were imbued with a strong Maker ethic of self sufficiency.

After studying Anthropology and Art History, the sisters started their own studio in Sonoma California.

The materials they use are often vintage, salvaged and made in the USA. Many of the components used in their designs are made by American companies (some 100 years old) with libraries of original molds from many decades past, giving them an authentic, vintage quality.
