INSTALLATION1. CLEAN AND SHAPE CONTACT SURFACE OF BODY(a) Using a knife, cut away any rough areas on the body.HINT:Leave as much of the adhesive on the body as possible.(b) Clean the cutting surface of the adhesive with a piece of

shop rag saturated in cleaner.HINT:Even if all the adhesive has been removed, clean the body.

2. CLEAN REMOVED GLASS(a) Remove the damaged stoppers.(b) Using a scraper, remove the adhesive sticking to the

glass.(c) Clean the glass with cleaner.

NOTICE:S Be careful not to damage the glass.S Do not touch the glass face after cleaning it.

3. INSTALL NEW STOPPERSAttach new stoppers to the glass with the ceramic notches onthe glass aligned with the stoppers as shown in the illustration.

A: 15.9 mm (0.626 in.)

4. INSTALL NEW BACK WINDOW OUTSIDE MOULDINGInstall new back window outside moulding to the back windowglass as shown in the illustration.HINT:

S Install the back window outside moulding from the centerof the glass at the lower side of the vehicle.

S When installing the back window outside moulding, donot stretch it.

5. POSITION GLASS(a) Place the glass in the correct position.(b) Check that all contacting parts of the glass rim are perfect-

ly even.(c) Place reference marks between the glass and body.(d) Remove the glass.

6. CLEAN CONTACT SURFACE OF GLASSUsing a cleaner, clean the contact surface which is black-col-ored area around the entire glass rim.NOTICE:Do not touch the glass face after cleaning it.

7. COAT CONTACT SURFACE OF BODY WITH PRIMERM

Using a brush, coat Primer M to the exposed part of body on thevehicle side.NOTICE:

S Let the primer coating dry for 3 minutes or more.S Do not coat Primer M to the adhesive.S Do not keep any of the opened Primer M for later use.

8. COAT CONTACT SURFACE OF GLASS WITH PRIMERG

(a) Using a brush or sponge, coat the edge of the glass andthe contact surface with Primer G as shown in the illustra-tion.

(b) When the primer is coated wrongly to the area other than

the specified, wipe it off with a clean shop rag before theprimer dries.

NOTICE:S Let the primer coating dry for 3 minutes or more.S Do not keep any of the opened Primer G for later use.

(e) Let the piano wire pass as shown in the illustration, cut offthe adhesive sticking to the stoppers, then remove theglass.

REMOVE REGULATOR HANDLEPull off the snap ring with a shop rag and remove the regulatorhandle and plate.

HINT:At the time of reassembly, please refer to the following item.With door window fully closed, install the plate and the regulatorhandle with the snap ring.

2. w/ Power window:REMOVE POWER WINDOW SWITCH

(a) Using a screwdriver, remove the power window switch.HINT:Tape the screwdriver tip before use.(b) Disconnect the connector.3. REMOVE LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH

4. REMOVE DOOR TRIM(a) Remove the screw and pull handle.(b) 2-Door vehicle:

Remove the screw and 2 clips.(c) 4-Door vehicle:

Remove the screw and 3 clips.

(d) Insert a screwdriver between the door panel and door trimto pry the trim out.

(a) Using a drill of less then 4.8 mm (0.189 in.), drill out therivet heads and remove the speaker.

their dust from the inside of the door panel.

INSTALLATION1. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION CENTER BRACKETInstall the rear seat cushion center bracket with the bolt.


2. INSTALL CENTER HINGEInstall the center hinge to the body with the 2 bolts.


3. INSTALL REAR SEAT SIDE HINGE(a) Install the rear seat side hinge with the bolt.

Torque: 41 Nm (420 kgfcm, 30 ftlbf)(b) Use the same manner described above to the other side.

4. INSTALL SEATBACK ASSEMBLY(a) Install the seatback assembly with the 2 bolts.

Torque: 37 Nm (380 kgfcm, 27 ftlbf)(b) Use the same manner described above to the other side.

5. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY(a) Hook the seat cushion wire to the rear seat cushion center

bracket.(b) Push the front portion of seat cushion assembly to install

it.HINT:

Confirm that the seat cushion assembly is installed firmly.
