    FYI

POA comments with respect to the Bo Dog Ad currently running on the BC Place

    1) Pattison is well aware of the Off Shore Illegal Gaming issue and takes great precaution in running creative material within thisspecific category across Canada.

    2) Advertisers, as well as Creative Content are carefully scrutinized through our internal creative approval process to ensure contentand creative material used, meet and follow the Canadian Ad Standard codes.web site: http://www.adstandards.com/en/standards/the14Clauses.aspx#accuracy

    3) In the case of Bodog.net - the company is a legal entity and the .NET is not promoting Gambling through their current Ad. Prior torunning the current Bodog Advertisement, Pattison Outdoor completed an in-depth review of the Ad and the Website to ensure the sitewas not a gambling site (Paid Gambling). In addition to our internal creative procedure process, our President Mr. Randy Otto (905)282-6801 reviewed the creative content, as well as the web site and approved the advertisement to run as is.

    4) If at any time there are questionable advertisements (i.e. content/creative) we would solicit our internal legal department, if we couldnot make a final decision.

    5) Currently the Bodog Ad is running in Calgary, as well as Edmonton without issue.

    6) Pattison Outdoor are willing to remove and/or relocate the existing Bodog Advertisement if requested by the landlord to eliminatethe issues, although there is noting illegal about the advertisement.

    Yours truly,

    SteveMcGregor

    Hi Shawn

Thanks for your help with this. Below is the email enquiry from Bob. Unfortunately, we don't have any more info on the actual advertbut it appears to be promoting bodog.net which is a free gaming site. As I said on the phone, PavCo feels obligated to make some sortof response to this enquiry and we're happy to work with you on messaging.

    Regards

    Kate

    Hello,

After yesterday's Whitecaps' game, I noticed that an ad for the online gambling website Bodog was displayed on the video board

facing the Cambie Bridge. The ad shows a woman in a bathing suit on a gambling table. Though Bodog's ".net" domain is displayed, itis a company that competes against B.C. Lottery Corporation, which is British Columbia's legal gambling monopoly. Section 206 of theCriminal Code includes advertising prohibitions for unlicensed gambling.

I know that PavCo contracts out the video boards to Pattison, but I understand PavCo has a say in the content.

Would you have a few minutes this morning for an interview about when and how the Bodog ad was approved to be displayed onPavCo property?

    Sincerely,

    Bob MackinTheTyee.ca
