From the Principal

Dear parents and community, I hope everyone in our community is well amid all the COVID-19 uncertainties which surround us. We have implemented some strict hygiene precautions at school. Students wash their hands upon entering and leaving the classroom, and after eating and going to the toilet. They also have their own workstations and supplies with no sharing of materials. They have all happily accepted this responsibility and should be commended on their maturity. We have not heard any news about whether the government is going to shut down all schools. If this does happen we will put together small learning packs for your child to do at home. On a brighter note we were lucky to have some amazing visitors in our school last week. ‘Heart to Heart’ came and led us through some very helpful mindfulness art exercises and gave each student an Art Box to enjoy. We also had the Manning River Turtle Conservation Group come and give a presentation and they brought a young male turtle for the students to see up close. It was a wonderful experience for us all. I hope everyone stays well and if you have any comments or concerns please don’t hesitate to contact us. Kind regards, Sarah Parker Relieving Principal
