Net Prophet hosted their recent annual seminar

for young Business Entrepreneurs and Start Ups

at the Artscape Theatre in Cape Town

dynamic presentations enthralled and

enlightened the packed 1500 strong audience

who were treated to a diverse offering by

ldquogurusrdquo in the digital arena Bobrsquos Presentation

(Without a Title) was a tongue in cheek but

pertinent observation on the characteristics of

leadership transferred in his experience from

game of play to business practise

He created quite a buzz when as a display

of the importance of saying Thank You in

Business every person was handed a lotto

ticket sponsored by Itec Innovate which

stood to win R37m in the next draw It almost

matched the suprise of the unsuspecting

shop attendant who was asked to print 1500

individual lotto tickets the day before

Bob and his SuperSport commentary colleague

Matt Pearce recently teamed up to help the Els for

Autism charity at a golf day held at The Els Club at

Copperleaf Generous sponsors of the day Anahita

also provided a Mauritian stay as an auction item

and this along with some sought-after signed Ernie

memorabilia and Ernie Els wine helped to raise

more than R150 000 for Els for Autism on the day

Els for Autism has been inspired by Ernie and lieslrsquos

son Ben having been diagnosed with the condition

In a heart-warming video presentation at the event

both Ernie and liesl spoke openly and frankly about

all the emotions they have been through

starting with a simple lsquowhy usrsquo when Ben was

diagnosed through to helping others to cope with

the realities of autism via the work of the charity

not only in South Africa but worldwide Given what

the family has been through it is no small wonder

that Ernie experienced the odd dip in form but his

recent return to prominence on the world stage

suggests a man more than comfortable in his own

skin one who has accepted the challenges put

before him away from the golf course and who is

using his profile and experience to help the plight
