I thought, upon reflection, is was intemperate and very coarse. You're a great guy, as are all the Reps I included in that message, and you shouldn't have to be party to someone's poor choice of language. So, for that, I'm really sorry. As I said in my follow up, I hope you'll dispense with the message and move on. I certainly will do that. I think sharing it more broadly would only inflame the situation worse than it already is. I don't want that. Legislation should stand on its merits not personal animosities. The funny part is, I don't really have much difficultly with the content of SF167. I just have a problem with the person who wrote it. Senator Bisignano is in this to "get even," not to do good work for the people of Iowa. That, to me, is frustrating and unacceptable. I guess I let him get into my head a bit and I allowed myself to access a lower level. For that, I'm sorry. Not that I was inaccurate, I wasn't. But the way I communicated it was poorly done. Thanks and I look forward to working with you! Bob

    Subject: Follow up on Friday

    Hi Kevin,

I just wanted to offer a personal apology to you for sharing my "temper tantrum" over SF 167 with you

on Friday. I thought, upon reflection, is was intemperate and very coarse. You're a great guy, as are all

the Reps I included in that message, and you shouldn't have to be party to someone's poor choice of

language. So, for that, I'm really sorry.

As I said in my follow up, I hope you'll dispense with the message and move on. I certainly will do that. I

think sharing it more broadly would only inflame the situation worse than it already is. I don't want that.

Legislation should stand on its merits not personal animosities.

The funny part is, I don't really have much difficultly with the content of SF167. I just have a problem

with the person who wrote it. Senator Bisignano is in this to "get even," not to do good work for the

people of Iowa. That, to me, is frustrating and unacceptable. I guess I let him get into my head a bit and

I allowed myself to access a lower level. For that, I'm sorry.

Not that I was inaccurate, I wasn't. But the way I communicated it was poorly done.

Thanks and I look forward to working with you!

    Bob
