COMMODORE – March 2012 Spring is just around the corner and before you can say "Happy St. Patrick's Day!" the yard and docks will be buzzing. Work parties will be forming for in and outside of the clubhouse. Watch the bulletin board for details & sign-up sheets. Work on "A" dock will begin soon! While you are in the clubhouse check out the new items brought in by our new House Chairman, Phil DaCosta. Congratulations Phil and keep up the good work.On Jan. 5th we had a great time watching the New York Giants win the Super Bowl on the 7' TV. Sorry Pat fans! On Jan.12th we held our Valentine's Brunch with the largest turn out in years. As usual the pasta team lead by Freddy G. along with Mike Chuckta kept us all fed and happy! Great job guys! Johnathan Ziobo won the fishing rod & reel raffle. Tickets for the "Win A Slip" raffle are on sale at the bar. They are going fast and are limited to 500 tickets. Information on the drawing can be found in the clubhouse and in this news letter.Congratulations to Mike Ricchia, the newest member of the B.O.G. Mike will be sworn in at the March General body meeting. If you haven't seen the new office you should stop by and see what a great job some of our members did. That project was headed by our Vice Commodore Scott Gorton. The office was dedicated at the February's General body meeting to the memory of Jules Karis who put so many hours of hard work in that room. It feels like Spring every day. Almost, but we are in New England, we roll the dice. Soon!!

It is time to Fundraise and start Party Time for our kids for 2012. We appreciate all of your support

and donations. New Year, New Fundraisers. Don't forget to SIGN-UP for ALL events at our club. It

is very important to sign-up, we base how many sign-up to figure out How Much Food we Buy for each Event at MYC Club Events for ALL Committees , so in Appreciation in Advance from ALL

Committees, please come or call to sign up at the Bar. Thank You. We have Raffle's throughout

the year - 42" Flat Screen (3-D, Wi-Fi, etc - see flyers in newsletter or call Michelle, President at

Our first event this year with The Pasta Team is our Annual Fish Fry, March 9, 2012 Friday. There

are two (2) sittings: 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Specify how many in your party and name the table (s)

will be under and the Time you would like to eat. Pre-payment is preferred. No Chits accepted.

Check or cash. Cost: $10.00 per person - Includes: Fish (Cod) & Chips, Stuffed Clam, Coleslaw,

Homemade Desserts and Coffee. Please sign-up by Wednesday, March 6th. First Come, First

We have a Tag Sale at our club annually. You can purchase a table for $20.00 per table, bring

your own fishing equipment, home goods or anything you would like to Tag Sale and Our club will

advertise in newspaper. See Flyer attached. Call for information. It is March 29th, 2012. Sunday.

This is a Fundraiser for our Kids along with the Fish Fry and Ladies' Night Out. We will have a

Raffle and a Bake Sale. Come support our club.

Save the Date for May 5th, Saturday is our 19th Annual Ladies' Night Out - Fundraiser for our Kids

and for the Battered Women and Children in Fairfield County. Tickets will be on sale April 1st.
