ERIK GULLBERG (Actor) A veteran of the stage, Erik is thrilled to be traveling the country with Mars/Venus LIVE! Erik was last seen onstage in New York City in Deployed at the Pershing Square Signature Center during the NYMF, which was directed by Mars/Venus LIVE’S! own Mindy Cooper. Erik’s previous credits include The Boss (Metropolitan Playhouse, NYTimes Critic's Pick), Lombardi (Harbor Lights), Twice Charmed (Prince Charming - Walt Disney Theatre), Much Ado About Nothing (Claudio - Alabama Shakespeare Festival). He

can be seen all over the Southeast catching and throwing chicken biscuits in commercials for Bojangles Fried Chicken. Erik attended New York University – TISCH School of the Arts where he received a BFA in Drama and History. He currently lives in New England. CHRISTOPHER SCHARIO (Executive/Artistic Director) has been Artistic Director of The Public Theatre since 1993. His adaptation of A Christmas Carol, published by Dramatists Play Service in 1996, was developed for The Public Theatre and has enjoyed successful productions at professional and amateur theatres throughout the world. In New York he directed for Roundabout Theatre, Westbeth Theatre, Spectrum Stage,

American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Drama Project and Madison Avenue Theatre. Regional theatre directing includes Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Boulder Ensemble Theatre, Kentucky Repertory Theatre, Toledo Repertory Theatre and Millbrook Playhouse. He has acted Off-Broadway, on national tours, regional theater, summer stock, dinner theater, films, soaps and commercials. He has taught at Carnegie-Mellon University, University of Colorado, University of Tennessee, American Academy of Dramatic Arts, as well as privately in New York. He received a BFA in Acting from Ohio University and an MFA in Directing from Carnegie-Mellon University.

JANET MITCHKO (Co-Artistic Director) Over the past seasons Janet has directed numerous TPT productions including Wait Until Dark, The Last Romance, Hound of the Baskervilles, Around the World in 80 Days, Beau Jest, Animals Out of Paper, Visiting Mr. Green, Over the River and Through the Woods, Dinner with Friends, The Nerd, etc.) Regional productions include Our Son’s Wedding at Florida Studio Theatre and The Heiress at The Theater at Monmouth, among others. Many moons ago, before

her life in Maine began; Janet lived in midtown Manhattan where she earned her living as an actress, acting teacher and director. She is a graduate of the acting program at Carnegie-Mellon University, and the proud mother of Emily.

This is a great family show recommended for audiences pre-K through grade 5. Two funny folktales from Africa come to life with vibrant pup-pets, spectacular scenery, and an infectious musical score. Koi and the Kola Nuts is a tale from Liberia in which the young son of a chief sets out on a wonderful journey in search of his place in the world, carrying only a sack of kola nuts. In Anansi and the Talking Melon Lady Anansi con-vinces Elephant that he owns a talking melon, and he proudly shows everyone the miraculous fruit...until he takes it to the King and the melon won’t say a word.
