PA-TSA Alumni Bylaw AmendmentsPrepared by the State Officer Team
I move to amend the following Original articles and sections of the PA-TSA Alumni Association Bylaws, to read the following Amended articles and sections.
1. Article I Original: The mission of the PA-TSA Alumni Association is to provide a conduit for graduate former members of PA-TSA to become involved in PATSA and to serve as mentors, advisors, judges and support personnel to the organization. Amended: The mission of the PA-TSA Alumni Association is to provide a conduit for graduate former members of PA-TSA, PA-TSA Advisors, Technology Education teachers, and guardians of TSA members to become involved in PA-TSA and to serve as mentors, advisors, judges, and support personnel to the organization. 2. Article III; Section 2 Original: The Alumni Executive Committee shall consist of no more than 5 members. The positions are the Alumni President, the Alumni Activity Coordinator, the Alumni Membership Coordinator the Alumni Technology Coordinator and the Alumni Secretary & Custodian of Records. Amended: The Alumni Executive Committee shall consist of no more than 6 members. The positions are the Alumni President, the Alumni Activity Coordinator, the Alumni Membership Coordinator, the Alumni Technology Coordinator, the Alumni Secretary & Custodian of Records, and a Student Chair. 3. Article III; Section 3.4 Original: Members are eligible for office after 2 years of active participation in the Alumni Association while in Good Standing. Amended: Members are eligible for office after 1 year of active participation in the Alumni Association while in Good Standing. 4. Article II; Section 3 Original: All members of the PATSA Alumni Association may vote in Alumni Association matters however special conditions are placed on eligibility for office on the Alumni Executive Committee (See Article III). Amended: All members of the PATSA Alumni Association may vote in Alumni Association matters however special conditions are placed

Membership also allows members the opportunity to collaborate with other technology and engineering professionals through Pennsylvania, and keep in touch with active chapters through mentoring and judging. A Contact List of PA-TSA Alumni will be continuously updated and provided to active chapters so that TSA members will be able to reach out to the Alumni as a resource for their events. 5. Article II Original: Any individual who has been a member of PA-TSA at any time during their primary or secondary education and has since completed their secondary education is eligible for membership in the PATSA Alumni Association. Memberships shall be classified as Inactive, Active and Membership in Good Standing. A Member in Good Standing is also an Active Member but not necessarily viceversa. Alumni with membership in good standing are A subset of all Active Members. Inactive members are any members which are not active. Amended: Any individual who has been a member of PA-TSA at any time during their primary or secondary education and has since completed their secondary education is eligible for membership in the PA-TSA Alumni Association. Memberships shall be classified as New, Inactive, Active, and Membership in Good Standing. A New member is a previous TSA member, a PA-TSA Advisor, a Technology Education teacher, and/or guardian of TSA member who has joined the Alumni but has not attended a TSA Conference in over two years. An Inactive member is a member who has lost contact with the association and has not attended any TSA Conferences in over two years. A Member in Good Standing is also an Active member, but not necessarily vice versa. Alumni with Membership in Good Standing are a subset of all Active Members. 6. Article II; Section 1 Original: Anyone eligible for membership in the Alumni Association will be considered to be an active member so long as they have participated in any Regional, State or National TSA activity or have participated in any Alumni Association Activity within the past 2 years. Amended: Anyone eligible for membership in the Alumni Association will be considered to be an active member, so long as they have
participated in any Regional, State, or National TSA activity, have participated in any Alumni Association Activity, or has or has remained active through mentoring, donating, etc. within the past 2 years. I move to add the following section to the PA-TSA Alumni Association Bylaws. ADD: Article III; Section 2.6: Student Chair The Student Chair serves as an active member that will maintain the Contact List of PA-TSA Alumni (see Article II; Section 3), as well the relations between the Alumni and members of PA-TSA. Elections for the student chair will be done by application, and then interview with the rest of the Alumni Executive Committee, who will self-elect the Student Chair.
