SHEILA STASACK (Mrs. Cratchit/Xmas Past ) couldn’t be happier to be appearing once again at The Public Theatre. Past performances here include Mommy in Miss Witherspoon, Bessie in Marvin’s Room, Mrs. Kravitz in Red Herring, Ruella in Communicating Doors, and Jane in Fallen Angels. Sheila has worked across the U.S. at a variety of regional theaters, in Russia and the Ukraine with the Chekhov Theater in Hamlet and The Seagull, and in France performing with the Improvisational

Theater League. She has appeared in Law and Order, The Unusuals, The Brotherhood and Guiding Light. She also teaches and directs at the University of Scranton. Sheila's work can also be heard at audible.com

RUSSELL BERRIGAN (Marley/Cratchit) A Rhode Island native Russell attended the University of RI and was a founding member of Providence's Wickenden Gate Theatre. He has worked at a variety of New England Theatres including Trinity Rep, New Rep, Wheelock Family Theatre, Foothills Theatre and North Shore Music Theatre. Favorite roles over the years include Timmy in The Subject Was Roses, Harry in The Sum of Us at Brown University's Summer Theatre, John Merrick in The Elephant Man

and Rod in At the Still Point. Russell has appeared previously at The Public Theatre in Sideman and this will be his seventh Christmas Carol for The Public Theatre. He's extremely pleased to be back in the “other LA” and performing for its good citizens.

MATTHEW DELAMATER - (Fred/Xmas Present) - Matt is thrilled to be working at The Public Theatre for his third time in their wonderful adaptation of one of his favorite holiday classics and cannot thank Chris enough for another opportunity to join the fun. Matt has performed in the past at The Public Theatre as Eddie in The Last Mass at St. Casimer’s as well as at regional theaters throughout the area. Favorite roles include Vladimir in Fenix Theatre's Waiting For Godot; Biff Loman in Out of the Box Theater's

Death of a Salesman; Owen Glendower in Theater of Monmouth's Henry IV; Tybalt in Fenix Theatre's Romeo and Juliet; The Shark in Dramatic Repertory Company's Swimming in the Shallows; and Brandon in Good Theatre's production of Next Fall. Matt has also been featured in television commercials for Berlin City Auto, Pizzeria UNO and is the host of a web series "Local Brew" which explores a number of the regions fast-growing micro breweries. Look for Matt this spring as Russell in the new series Odyssey on NBC as well as Seth in the film Tumbledown with Jason Sudeikis and Rebecca Hall. Suddenly Last Summer, Popova in Checkov’s The Bear with Watchdog Theatre Company, and Johanna in Sweeney Todd at The Gloria Maddox Theatre. Other roles include Sara in The Playboy of the Western World, Cinderella in Into the Woods, Eliza in

My Fair Lady, Philia in A Funny Thing…Forum, and Martha in The Secret Garden. She received her BA in Theatre from Tulane University and her MFA in acting from Louisiana State University. Proud member of AEA and SAG-AFTRA. She would like to thank her family for their love and support.

OLIVER HALL (Tiny Tim) is an eighth-grader at Auburn Middle School. He enjoys singing, playing trumpet, soccer, sailing, and theater. In his elementary school drama club, he represented such characters as Rumpelstiltskin, Grumpy the Dwarf, the Tin Man, and Long John Silver. At Community Little Theater, he has portrayed Michael Darling in Peter Pan, Scott in Dear Edwina, Jr., Agwe in Once On This Island, Jr., the White

Rabbit in Alice in Wonderland, Jr., and Archie in 13! Most recently for his middle school drama club he was Jacques in As You Like It and Max in Dilemmas With Dinner. Oliver is very excited to be part of The Public Theatre's production of A Christmas Carol.

JENNIFER ARMSTRONG (Fiddler) is a musical storyteller with a lifetime involvement in the folk arts. She works as an artist-in-residence and performer in schools, libraries, theaters and festivals all across Maine and around the country. She has a family TV program on BCTV (Belfast Community TV) called "I Can Be Me". Her recordings of music and stories as well as her two children’s picture books are available in the lobby (for a

special holiday price!) or at her website www.jenniferarmstrong.com. This is Jennifer’s 12th year to play fiddle for A Christmas Carol and present Silent Night. She is thrilled to be part of The Public Theatre family!

CHRISTINE KASHIAN (SFX/Ghost Christmas Future/Company Manager) is excited to be interning at The Public Theatre for the season. She recently graduated from the Colby College Theater and Dance program, where her favorite shows to put up were Legally Blonde The Musical and Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson. She is happy to be starting her career in her home state with such a great company!

JANET MITCHKO (Co-Artistic Director) Aside from being the Co-Artistic Director of The Public Theatre, Janet has spent much of the past 21 years in creative heaven as both a director (The Last Romance, Hound of the Baskervilles, Visiting Mr. Green, etc) and actress (Time Stands Still, Almost, Maine. Enchanted April, etc), and is proud to call The Public Theatre her artistic home. Prior to life in Maine, Janet lived in NYC

earning her living as a professional actress, voice-over talent, and director as well teaching acting at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts. She is a graduate of the acting program at Carnegie-Mellon University, and the extremely proud mother of Emily.

CHRISTOPHER SCHARIO (Executive/Artistic Director) has been Artistic Director of The Public Theatre since 1993. His adaptation of A Christmas Carol, published by Dramatists Play Service in 1996, was developed for The Public Theatre and has enjoyed successful productions at professional and amateur theatres throughout the world. In New York he has directed for Roundabout Theatre, Westbeth Theatre, Spectrum Stage, American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Drama Project and Madison Avenue

Theatre. Regional theatre directing includes Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Boulder Ensemble Theatre, Kentucky Repertory Theatre, Toledo Repertory Theatre and Millbrook Playhouse. He has acted Off-Broadway, on national tours, regional theater, summer stock, dinner theater, films, soaps and commercials. He has taught at Carnegie-Mellon University, University of Colorado, University of Tennessee, American Academy of Dramatic Arts, as well as privately in New York. He received a BFA in Acting from Ohio University and an MFA in Directing from Carnegie-Mellon University.

LISA BRAGDON (Stage Manager) has been working as an AEA Stage Manager for over 20 years. She has worked at big theaters and small, and loves working at The Public Theatre. Very proud to have the Public named Best Theatre in Maine by Down East Magazine. Previous Theatre's include Arena Stage in Washington D.C., The Huntington in Boston, The Barter in VA., and Portland Stage Company here in Maine. A Registered Maine Guide for the last 15 years she spends Summers guiding wilderness canoe trips. JIM ALEXANDER (Technical Director) has worked on theatre, dance, and opera productions from Maine to Missouri, and toured nationally and internationally. He lives in Harpswell with his partner Dawn and their sons, Max and Ewan, of whom they are abnormally proud. He has served as production manager for The Washington Revels and as master electrician at the Shakespeare Theatre Co., Washington Ballet, and Portland Stage. He has toured as lighting supervisor and production manager with theatre and dance companies including The Flying Karamozovs, Netherlands Dance Theatre, Suzhuo Kunju Opera of Jiangsu Province, the National Ballet of China, and the Ballet Nacional de Cuba. BART GARVEY (Lighting Designer) has served The Public Theatre in one capacity or another since its first season. He holds degrees from The College of William & Mary and The University of Iowa. He is particularly proud to have worked building sets here for Indoor/Outdoor, Miss Witherspoon, Rough Crossing, Communicating Doors, Three Days of Rain, and Dracula. He has designed lights for over 50 professional productions and is particularly proud to have designed for Good People; Red; The Language Archive; Around the World in 80 Days; Humble Boy; Indoor/Outdoor; Magnetic North; Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde; The 13th of Paris; Almost,Maine; The Woman in Black; The Wind in the Willows; Red Herring; An Infinite Ache; Proof; The Pavilion; Sideman; and Three Days of Rain. Bart has also worked on productions at The Theater at Monmouth, Deertrees, Boothbay Opera, St. Lawrence, King’s Bridge, and Bates College. He thanks his beautiful and multitalented wife, Julie, for subsidizing this unplanned and otherwise impossible career in theater. JONNA W. KLAIBER (Costumes) is thrilled to be at The Public Theatre, one of her favorite places to work. You may recognize her costume designs from previous seasons. Favorites include, The Hound of the Baskervilles, Around the World in 80 Days, The Language Archives, Animals Out of Paper, and Red Herring. Jonna is currently the Resident Costume Designer and Costume Shop Manager at The Theater at Monmouth where recent projects include, Hamlet, The Glass Menagerie, Two Gentlemen of Verona and Blithe Spirit. She also costumed Scrooge the Musical at Waterville Opera House, this past fall. Jonna lives in Auburn with her husband Steve and Brown Dog Cody and is so thankful to be making a living doing what she loves in the great State of Maine! Enjoy the show! JOHN MORRISON (Sound Engineer) is a freelance sound geek. He will do anything audio for a buck. He records, mixes, repairs, installs, designs, schemes, daydreams, reminisces… His recording credits include projects by James Taylor, Inanna: Sisters in Rhythm, Chris Botti and Spalding Gray. He once installed an early “home theater” system for Milos Forman. His recent theater work includes sound mixing for Bloody, Bloody Andrew Jackson at Colby College and sound design for Suessical: The Musical with Yarmouth High School Playmakers. It is unlikely that anyone will recall John’s audio contributions to early 80’s New York productions of Taking Steam, The Smiling Assassins, or Mysteries of the Bridal Night. So it goes. .

We are pleased to offer hearing assistance free of charge to help patrons with hearing difficulties enjoy our productions to their fullest, no matter where they are seated in the Theater. We are using a system which transmits an FM signal to a personal receiver out f i t ted wi th l ightweight headphones, or neck-loop for hearing aids equipped with a T-coil.
