suing a double major in Finance and Marketing.
Kayla Martin, daughter of Sergeant Loren Mar-
tin, is attending the University of Southern Indiana
where she is majoring in Exercise Science and Kine-
siology, Pre-Physical Therapy.
Laura Molinet, daughter of Deputy Chief Joyce
Molinet and Lieutenant Dave Molinet, studies Animal
Science and Pre-veterinary Medicine at Purdue Uni-
versity.
Kyle Voegel, son of Captain Gary Voegel, at-
tended the University of Southern Indiana and trans-
ferred to the Kelley School of Business beginning the
fall semester.
Lee Walker, son of Officer Kent Walker, graduat-
ed from Reitz High School and will attend Hawaii
Pacific University. His plan is to major in Justice
Administration and Psychology.

Policeman’s Ball, 2014
“The Evansville Police Department Foun-
dation exists to award financial grants to
the Evansville Police Department for
specialized equipment, education, collab-
orative community programs, and for the
support of its personnel.”
Accomplishments
Awarded $15,000 in scholarships
Upgraded Officers First Aid Kits with Combat
Gauze.
Funded activity books for EVSC students to be
distributed by School Liaison Officer.
Funded 20 Rifle/Shotgun racks (designed by two
EPD Officers) for use in squad cars to expedite
rapid and safe retrieval by officers.
Funded air travel for Tactical Medical Training in
Houston.
Helped fund EPD Choose-Not-To-Loose basket-
ball league.
Revamped the structure and by-laws of the EPDF,
increased the Board of Directors to 22 members
and elected Mr. Alan Newman as our first civilian
President.
Applied for a $15,000 grant from Motorola to fund
next year’s Citizen’s Academy.
Replenish and upgrade first aid kits and expand
distribution to EPD Officers.

The “Masters of Disguise” Policeman’s Ball was
held at The Tropicana and proved to be our most
successful event to date. With over $100,000
raised, $87,000 of that amount was net profit.
Highlights of the event included the presentation of
the Police Hall of Fame Inductees Captain John
Haller and the late EPD Sergeant Jim Baumeyer.
Also recognized were Lt. Paul Kirby, recipient of the
Howard Davis Peer Recognition Award, the
Downtown Kiwanis
Officer of the Year,
Officer
Dan Hoehn and
the Community
Service Award
went to Mr. Larry
Bennett.
The goal of the 100 Club is to encourage donations of
$100 per year as a way to ensure future financial stabil-
ity for the foundation. In addition, 100 Club Members
who recruit ten new members in a single year are hon-
ored by becoming Members of the EPDF Elite.
