Dear Parents and Caregivers New Principal
I received confirmation this week that our new Principal Mr Bradley Lyne’s commencement date is now the first day of school 2015. He will be visiting Boambee during the first week of next term to meet the students, staff
and community. Ms Donoghoe is looking forward to continuing as Relieving Principal for the remainder of this year.
Congratulations Mrs Gale Mrs Sharon Gale has been successful in gaining the position of P-2 Curriculum Officer for term 4, 2014. We would like to
take this opportunity to thank Mrs Gale for her work and dedication this year and wish her the best in her new position. Mrs Peta Robinson will teach 2/3G and manage Stage 2 for the remainder of the year.
Fathers Day Raffle Winners Congratulations to Mal Schweitzer and Lisa Ussher who won the major prize in the Fathers Day Raffle of a ride
in a Rally Car. Mal said it was an “awesome experience”.
Amber Morley won the reversing camera and Ann Beynon won the Car Detail. The students that won a 3
day Rally pass were Brayden East and Jayden Purnell. We hope they enjoy their experience at the rally. A massive thank you to Absolute Panel and Paint - Michael and Tammy Hayer and MaxyRally, for
supporting our school and organising a visit from the rally car.
$1423.00 was raised from the Fathers Day Raffle Thank you MaxyRally and Absolute Panel and Paint!

Chicken Pox Please assist us by checking your child/children. Following are some helpful facts from NSW Government Health:
Time from exposure to illness: 10 to 21 days, usually 14 to 16 days Symptoms: Slight fever, runny nose, and a rash that begins as raised pink spots that blister and scab.
Do I need to keep my child home? Yes, for 5 days from the onset of the rash and the blisters have dried. How can I prevent spread? Immunise your child at 18 months of age. Immunisation is recommended for
children at 12 years of age if they are not immune.
Sport Swimming Thank you to the P&C who are subsidising our swimming
program by an amazing $23.00 (K-4) and $28.00 (5&6) per student. All students are expected to participate. You can pay at the office through EFTPOS, by cash/cheque or online by going to our website. The cost for parents

Mini Fete Tokens The Token Sheet order form for the Mini Fete was sent
home last week. Sheets are $12.00 each (Amounts less or more than $12.00 can be purchased) Sausage Sandwiches and Steak Sandwiches will not have their
own tokens this year, you just use normal tokens. Fete tokens will be distributed to all classes Thursday morning of the Fete.

We are still looking for parent helpers who are willing to donate thirty minutes to one hour of their time either serving or cooking during the afternoon of the Mini Fete. If you are willing to offer your time please contact the
school office or Mr Glover to arrange a time. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Raffle Tickets
Please bring all your raffle tickets back by Wednesday 17th September. The Mega Mini Fete Raffle will be drawn at the Fete on Thursday 18th September weather permitting.
Face Painting If you are a budding artist and you would love some practice for half an hour or more painting faces please
email Mr Shipman on [email protected] Cake Stall The youngest child in each family should have brought
home a paper plate with a plastic bag and note. K/1F are looking for donations of items to sell at the cake stall. Please consider the type of item that you send in as we won’t have access to any refrigeration, therefore things
like jelly slice and cream are hard to keep and resell at the fete. All items for selling can be brought to Mrs Ferguson’s room on THURSDAY morning. Thanks, in advance, for your support.
