STONEHILL BOARDING WEEKEND ACTIVITIES PROGRAMME SEMESTER TWO 2017 Weekends at Stonehill. For Full Time Boarders, weekends are important to enable them to sleep in a little longer and catch up on organisational matters including room tidiness and laundry. It can also be a time to enjoy activities that are either planned by staff or planned by students., or even a combination of the two. Student planned activities are required to be in to the Head of Boarding and House parents by Thursday evening. Currently being a small Boarding School of 40 students, half of which are Weekly boarders the range of activities is often set by the numbers, the genders and the age groups. The weekend activities programme is designed to offer students a combination of set activities and student selected activities. Much thought and care is given to ensure the programme is a balanced one bearing in mid the small size of the current Boarding cohort and the mixed gender and age range. Flexibility is the key. A few compulsory events happen per year and these are intended to help the students forge friendships out of Houses and, in some instances, support their curriculum. WEEKENDS
