Student Day UNPAD

AIESEC LC Bandung was one

of the participant of Student Day

UNPAD. The event which was

held at Jatinangor Campus on

Independence Day, August

17th 2010, was similar to Open

House Unit ITB.

The purpose of this event was

to promote AIESEC and attract

new students of UNPAD to join

our organization. Our current

members voluntarily gave

information to the new students

and engage them to apply as

AIESEC LC Bandung’s new

member during the open

recruitment process.

Student day is one of the

biggest event of Open

Recruitment 2010 “Global

Leadership Program”.

Even though it was a very hot

and bright day, this event was

very successful. Hundreds of

new UNPAD students have

applied, thanks to the

members who were promoting

so well and intensively.

Student Day UNPAD was also

promoted on the radio. We

had an on air talk show with

Ardan Radio, and explained

more information about

AIESEC and how to apply as

our member.

Teeth check-up

Playing music

Sharing session

thoughts and experience. We

wanted to hear their stories,

and gave them feedbacks on

how to make their lives better.

There were also dentistry

students who were willing to

help the child street beggars

by checking their teeth’s con-

dition. The dentistry students

also taught the children how to

brush their teeth.

Besides sharing sessions and

teeth check-up, we also

played with the children. Some

of our exchange participants

from Germany, Japan, China,

and Czech Republic, shared

their traditional games and

played energetically with the

children. At the end of the day,

everyone was happy and had

a smile upon their face. It was

a success!

Care and Share is the first

learning event of Project

Based on Exchange (PBoX)

Children. This event was held

at Black & White Café on

August 13th 2010.

Child abuse is a topic that

AIESEC LC Bandung is very

concerned about. During this

event, we invited child street

musicians to share their

“Children are the world's most valuable resource and its best hope for the future”

Upcoming Events!

P a g e 3 A I E S E C L C B a n d u n g

The number of reports

of violence, sexual

assault and incest

against children in

Indonesia is rising

dramatically.

There are at least two

million children

suffering child abuse

in Indonesia.

Exchange Fair is an event

held by AIESEC LC

Bandung, and is one of our

biggest upcoming events

throughout this year. The

purpose of Exchange Fair is

to give information and

details about our Exchange

Program.

This event is mainly

focused on Winter

departure this year

(December until February).

Exchange Fair is the

platform to promote our

Exchange program,

introducing destinated

countries, and also the

project’s issues that are

going to be held for the

exchange participants.

Exchange Fair is going to

be held on Saturday,

October 16th 2010. Starting

from 11 a.m until 5 p.m at

Aula Timur ITB.

This event is open for

public; whether an AIESEC

member or not, every

university students across

Bandung is invited to come!

Family Gathering

2011

This Exchange Fair is

going to be different from

any other previous ones.

There will be more than 10

countries information

stands, sharing

presentation from the

Exchange Participant

returnee, and also

'International Experiences

and Global Working

Environment' Talk show

and World Issues

presentation from local

NGO.

Exchange Fair

We really need the

support from the

alumni and BoA of

AIESEC LC Bandung,

especially during this

campaign and the

upcoming learning

event. An external

speaker is welcomed

to give a speech about

child abuse and its

prevention.

Seeing these facts,

AIESEC LC Bandung is

going to hold a Child

Abuse Campaign on

Dago Street.

This learning event 2 of

PBoX Children is going

to take place on

Sunday, 26th September

2010, during the car free

day.

Child Abuse Campaign

Family Gathering will be held

soon!

All alumni and members are

invited to this annual event. The

concept for this event is still in

progress, therefore we would

like to know whether the alumni

has any special request or

expectation for this event?

Your suggestion or idea is

most welcomed.

Another upcoming

event is National

Enterpreneurship

Forum. It is one of the

annual PBoX event

which is held nationally

by AIESEC Indonesia.

The purpose of this one

day event is to educate

the young generation

about the importance of

developing entrepre-

neurship skill and

implement it into our

daily life and make it a

successful business.

National Enterpreneurship Forum (NEF)

During last year’s NEF,

there were 11 speakers,

some of them were

AIESEC alumni. Seeing

these facts, AIESEC LC

Bandung realizes the need

to have many external

speakers who are experts

and experienced in the

entrepreneurial field. We

really see the potential in

the alumni and BoA of

AIESEC LC Bandung to

be the speakers, and we

would really like to

cooperate for this event.
