The new BMW Integrated Navigation for retrofitting is a perfect solution for cars without a navigation system. The map is displayed on the high resolution 6.5" car display whilst the audio is output through the on-board speakers. The navigation system can be activated and controlled using the retrofitted updated iDrive controller in the car. The mount with the navigation unit cannot be seen from outside as it is installed in the glove compartment, thus offering a high level of security. The maps can be updated regularly online using a USB connection. WHAT IS THE ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONALITY OF THE BMW INTEGRATED NAVIGATION? – 3D map display – Alternative routes – Points of Interest – Map or arrow display, pointing north or the direction of travel – Auto zoom – Speed limit display WHO IS IT FOR? BMW Integrated Navigation is for vehicles which do not already have navigation as standard. It can generally be installed in the following models: F10, F11, F20, F21, F22, F23, F25, F26, F30, F31, F32, F33, F34, F36, F45, F46, F48 – depending on the options of the vehicle. BMW Integrated Navigation can be fitted to models as from production date 07/2012. BMW Integrated Navigation can generally only be installed if the following criteria are satisfied: – No Business Navigation system (SA 606) – No Professional Navigation system (SA 609) – No Navigation system (SA 6UN) – No Navigation Plus (SA 6UP) A different installation location for the GPS aerial is required in cars with climate comfort windscreen (SA 358) or climate comfort glass (SA 356). HOW DO I UPDATE MY MAP?To update the BMW Integrated Navigation maps, you should: – Register your product on the Harman website:
www.integrated-navigation.com – Download the most recent update from the
Harman Content Manager (software is automatically downloaded to your computer the first time you connect the Integrated Navigation)
– Connect the navigation unit to your computer via the USB provided
– Download the map update onto the navigation unit– Full details of how to update the map can be found on the
Harman website (above)
AM I ABLE TO SELECT NAVIGATION FROM THE CENTRAL INFORMATION DISPLAY MENU?No, it is not possible to select Navigation from the central information display menu. To reach and control the navigation function, you can use the navigation button on the iDrive controller.
CAN I PROGRAMME THE SHORTCUT BUTTONS WITH NAVIGATION DESTINATIONS?No, unfortunately you cannot programme the shortcut buttons with BMW Integrated Navigation.
WHEN DOES THE 90 DAYS FREE MAP UPDATE COMMENCE?Once the Integrated Navigation has been fitted to the vehicle, the 90 days begins.
WHAT SOFTWARE WILL MY COMPUTER REQUIRE IN ORDER TO USE THE HARMAN CONTENT MANAGER TO UPDATE THE MAP?You will require operating systems:– Microsoft Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8– Mac OSX 10.7 or higher– PC with USB 2.0
