with AEB standard on all models.
BMW 2 series Active Tourer
Structure: This vehicle is not related to the 2-series coupe or convertible. Developed on a new modular platform for front-wheel drive the Active Tourer features a high percentage of HSS and UHSS multi-phase materials for rigidity and strength, with tailored blanks supplied by Benteler. The bonnet is of aluminium.
Dimensions are 4342mm length, 1800mm width and 1555mm in height. Wheelbase is 2670mm.
Technology : The Active Tourer features a tailgate with
Comfort Access where the vehicle will
recognise a wave of the driver’s foot below
the rear bumper and open automatically for
ease if the user is loaded with shopping etc.
The rear seats slide back and forth, altering
the backrest angle and increasing/decreasing
luggage compartment space. The luggage
compartment also features remote switches
to release the two rear seat back rests.
The BMW Head-Up Display is available,
projecting driving information onto a screen
in full colour in the driver’s line of sight. The
projected brightness automatically adjusts to
the ambient lighting conditions for maximum
visibility. This is an option available with the
BMW Navigation Plus package (£2095).
The camera-based City Collision Mitigation
(AEB system) is standard on all models, as
are 6 SRS airbags: driver, front passenger,
