Recruitment & Outreach • Mailers and door-to-door

• Held block party after first installation & early spring meetings to resolve concerns

• One interested neighbor helped with recruitment

• Used signage to reinforce message

Building Confidence

• Each resident chose what plants were included in their garden.

• Weeding workshop on each block plus One on one sessions - ensuring resident had confidence in themselves to maintain garden and rain barrels.

• Reinforcing – this is THEIR garden, and their RIVER.
