Whats a Declaration?

The process whereby a

member company declares

compliance with the terms and

conditions in the Bluetooth

Trademark License Agreement

and Bluetooth Patent/

Copyright License Agreement.

A Declaration must contain

the following:

Declaration ID

Qualified Design ID

List of product(s) using

the Qualified Design

Whats New?

A listing fee must be paid to

receive a Declaration ID

purchased

Bluetooth technology experienced unprecedented growth in recent years.

To meet the needs of the ecosystem, the Bluetooth SIG is introducing

a streamlined qualification and listing process. The process will guide

members through a single web interface to satisfy both the qualification and

new listing requirements.

With this update, we are discontinuing the QDID fee and introducing a newlisting feeeither USD 8,000 or USD 4,000 depending on membership level

and issuing a Declaration ID as your proof of purchase.

The Declaration ID is a unique identifier for the members declaration

of compliance with the terms and conditions in the Bluetooth

Trademark License Agreement and Bluetooth Patent/ Copyright

License Agreement. Depending on the qualified design

implementation, a single listing fee and Declaration ID may include

multiple products.

Simple Listing Process

1. Create Qualification Project(for new designs)

2. Pay listing fee

3. Reference a qualified design

(QDID)

4. List associated product(s)
