Blue Week for Mental Health at St Peter’s College 9 - 14 August 2021 We’re going Beyond Blue together. Embrace Your Identity School Captains, Sam Jackson and Rushan Khurram, alongside Blue Group Captains, Alex Karytinos and Arthur Drayton, invite you to several events taking place during the 8th annual Blue Week. This week is about raising funds and awareness for mental health and bringing difficult conversations into the light. This year’s motto is to ‘Embrace your Identity,’ recognising how every individual has something meaningful and unique to offer as well as appreciating the identity we find in a community, such as Saints. Senior School Muffins with your Mentor 9 - 13 August 2021 8:25am to 8:55am | Mentor $5 Donation for muffins & casual clothes paid on the allocated morning. Tuesday 10 August 2021 Rock Band Performance The Rock Band will be performing in front of Old School House. A Blue Week pocket square will be given alongside. 11-12 August 2021 Staff v Student Two staff v student events will be held during Wednesday & Thursday Lunch. These competitions look to bring us together, as to help us appreciate our identity as a community. Sausage Sizzle Senior School Lunch Sausages and drinks will be for sale outside Old School House. $2 for a sausage, $2 for a drink, or $5 dollars for 2 sausages and 1 drink. Friday 13 August 2021 Wear it Blue Casual Clothes Day & Battle of the Bands Junior and Senior School Boys wear blue to support Beyond Blue. JS - $2 donation. Friday 13 August 2021 The day will conclude with the Battle of the Bands - An exciting musical competition between house groups! Wear a blue armband today for a brighter tomorrow Saturday 14 August 2021 Blue Sports Round. Students wear blue armbands for sporting fixtures as a symbol of commitment towards seeking and providing support for mental health. Wear a blue armband and normalise healthy conversations.

With speak guest speaker, Jed Altschwager, a World Champion Para-Rower who lost his leg in a workplace accident in 2015. Following long rehabilitation, he has gone on to compete for Australia internationally, including alongside Saints old scholar and teammate Will Smith (FLL 18’).

Junior and Senior School Boys wear blue to support Beyond Blue.

Junior School $2 donation. All proceeds will be donated to Beyond Blue.

Year 5 and 6 Students.

Sausages will be for sale at lunchtime, outside JS Function Space for $2 each.

Friday 14 August 2020

Sausages and drinks will be for sale at lunchtime, outside Old School House. $2 sausages and $2 drinks or $5 for 2 sausages and a drink. Cash, EFTPOS and Student ID payment available with contactless transactions preferred.

Blue Round. Students wear blue armbands for a round of sport as a sign of solidarity and commitment towards supporting those affected by mental health issues in our community. Wear a blue armband during your weekend sport to start normalising conversations about mental fitness within our sporting teams.

To raise funds and awareness for mental health, School Captains, Tim and Oliver alongside their newly formed society, Blue Group, invite you to a number of events during our 7th annual Mental Health Week. Senior School students are asked for a $5 donation for Muffins with your Mentor and Casual Clothes Day. Junior School Students are asked for a $2 donation for Casual Clothes Day with all proceeds donated to Beyond Blue.
