It all began with a canoe trip. Algonquin Park is just about as Canadian as you can get and never experiencing the iconic landscape was an item that had to be crossed o� my bucket list. I �nally found the time to go on a needed break from my chocolate shop in downtown Chatham, Ontario. My task: quiet my mind and have the space and time to ponder how and where I wanted to grow my business.

One evening, I came upon the majestic beauty of the Algonquin mascot: A bull moose wading in the shallows. Instantly captivated by his awkward grace, I carefully rowed near and felt a reawakening of Canadian patronage.

The beauty of the northern sky that rose over Burnt Island Lake gave me the peace I sought. The full moon’s presence amongst the in�nite stars illuminated for me the uniqueness of our planet and our presence here. I returned home refreshed and reinvigorated to grow my ten-year old chocolate company, Eve Chocolatier.

Blue Moose Chocolate Company grew out of the peace and adventure that I experienced in the wilderness of Algonquin. Blue Moose Chocolate Co. seeks to deliver delectable chocolates and confections with a distinctly Canadian look and taste.
