If the wrong blood types are mixed what happens?
Agglutination = clotting
Today you will test the “blood” of 4 people.
•Carefully follow directions to determine the blood type of each person.
Agglutination?
• Look for precipitated, solid specks
• If clumping occurs write a + in the well
• If not write a - in the well
1. Can Mr. Jones donate blood safely to Mr. Green?
B- to AB+YES – B is not foreign to AB
2. Can Mr. Green donate blood safely to Mr. Jones?
AB+ to B-No – A of AB would be foreign to B
3.Which person could donate safely to anyone?
