Natural Disaster/Extreme Weather Health and WellbeingWe are learning about natural disasters and their impact on the planet and humans. We are learning how to grow our brains.

We are starting our Natural Disasters and Extreme Weather topic. First, we are going to look at the geology of the Earth. The structure of the Earth is one of the reasons why natural disasters such as earthquakes and volcanoes occur. Read the Power Point presentation about the geology of the Earth and complete the task. The Power Point is in ‘Files’ in our class Teams within the ‘Class Materials’ folder.

Task: Draw a graph showing the percentage of each element in the crust of the Earth. You could draw a pie chart, or a bar graph.

Complete the grow your brain document.Make sure you’re getting in your 60 minutes of PE a day.The Body Coach https://youtu.be/K6r99N3kXMEOti’s kids dance classes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VqwXciMDFYAMindfulness meditation:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ihwcw_ofuM

What Is Volume?

Volume is a measurement of how much space is taken up by a 3 dimensional shape (solid) shape.

Example: a can – a box – a basin – a bottle…

The units used in measuring solid volumes are cubic centimetres and cubic metres.

The units used in measuring liquid volumes are millilitres and litres.

Exercise 1
