A page as the homepage

• When starting a new “blog” in TypePad, the goal doesn’t have to be a blog site.

• TypePad has the option of setting a page as the homepage instead of the blog page.

• This gives TypePad users the option of having a CMS managed website.

• A TypePad addition that enables sites to have CMS functionality are the Navigation Bars.

• Now users can put their preferred navigation on the top and bottom of their TypePad Websites.

Connect your domain to your TypePad site.

Now more than ever, it is important to have your own domain name, especially if you want your website to be recognized by the search engines.

TypePad outlines step by step in the Control Panel > Site Access > Domain Mapping as to how to link you domain to your post by domain registrar.
