Whew, we’re at day 7 already! Congratulations on making it more than halfway through.

Give yourself a pat on your back for being so determined for success.

If you have not used Pinterest before, Pinterest allows users to “pin” pins onto boards.

There’s a ton of things you can do on Pinterest, but today I’ll talk about the MOST effective thing in Pinterest that has brought me the most results.

That’s right, I’m talking group boards.

Group boards are an A-W-E-S-O-M-E way to get traffic for your blog especially when you’re brand new to the scene. Group boards are basically collaborative boards with multiple contributors who can pin anything and it shows up on the pinterest feeds of tens of thousands of people.

Day 7. Here’s an example of a large group board. 12,000 followers!

The more people contributing, the higher the chance of more people viewing your pin on the group board.

Do not be intimidated to join group boards even if you have no followers. Just do it, people WILL accept you! I own a couple of group boards and am always happy to add anyone as long as they pin appropriate and relevant pins to my board.

When I first started out on Pinterest, I joined loads of group boards when I had a grand total of 25 followers. It doesn’t really matter; most boards accept almost everyone.

Pinterest is my greatest traffic referral (as of this point of writing), and a large proportion of this success is deal to me pinning my blogposts onto

Day 7. group boards.To find group boards, use pingroupie.com, or simply find one of your competitors’ Pinterest profile and look at what are the boards they are part of. Make sure you only join relevant ones.

When you have found a board that you like, most group boards usually state how you can join in the board description, along with the rules of the group board.

Most of the time, you either PM them on Pinterest or email them asking to be added.

After being accepted, click on “Add a pin” in the left corner of the group board (see the above picture if you don’t know what I’m referring to) and you’ll be prompted to insert your url and select a relevant picture to pin with your url. Doing so would give you a burst of traffic to your page. Make sure you follow the rules!

Pinning can be very time consuming sometimes. I use Tailwind to help me automate my pins to group boards.

Make sure you have nice visuals for your blogposts, vertical pictures work really well on pinterest. Would you be looking more into Pinterest as a promotional avenue for your blog biz? I normally recommend 3 promotional avenues for bloggers. *Yes / No
