Give your landscape a dramatic effect with patterned walls. Add a whole new dimension to your landscape! Blend the different sized blocks together into your wall and capture the look of hand-laid stone.

Patterned walls resemble hand-laid stone walls, and will require a certain level of detail and craftsmanship to construct. Some custom fitting of blocks will be required. Plan on taking a little extra time to build, particularly when building one for the first time. AB Junior

The Rocklok segmental concrete block retaining wall system has been proudly developed in New Zealand in conjunction with engineers to meet the demands found in this highly seismic region.

Rocklok provides superior strength and performance, with a stronger pin-block connection and trench system, allowing a positive connection between the geogrid and steel reinforcement. This system also allows near vertical walls to be constructed and for high load environments.

Rocklok is a fully engineered system, ideal for bridge abutments, wing walls and large retaining walls. The positive connection system provides extra performance and safety when critical loads are present while still providing an aesthetically attractive finish.

The Rocklok system is designed to work in conjunction with the high-performance StrataGrid® PET geogrids. Together Rocklok and StrataGrid products provide a positive connection using the unique locking trench and bar system. The Rocklok is also designed in conjunction with Cirtex® steel ladder systems for applications where inextensible reinforcement is required such as bridge abutment applications and similar.

Bowers Brothers provides technical support for those constructing retaining walls using Allan Block or Rocklok® systems. One of our retaining wall engineers will provide specifications for your project. We can supply preliminary technical drawings for your project, which you can hand over to your engineer for sign-off. STRATAGRID®

StrataGrid is a high performance polyester soil reinforcement grid. High strength polyester geogrids are ideally suited to retaining walls, steepened slopes, and embankments subjected to long term creep loads. PET has superior long term creep resistance compared with an HDPE or polypropylene polymer.

DURAFORCE™ AS

DuraForce AS geotextiles are manufactured and tested to exact quality standards and rated according to the NZTA F/7 specification for geotextiles. Due to this manufacturing process DuraForce geotextiles are best used in applications of drainage, filtration and separation.

SLEEVE-IT®

Sleeve-It SD-1 is a pre-engineered fence post anchoring solution for enhancing below-grade foundational stability in fences placed on top of a segmental retaining wall (SRW). Sleeve-It’s design allows stable fence footings to be integrated into the support structure of the SRW while it is being constructed.
