Islam And Blasphemy:There is no punishment determind in Holy Quran. But another source In Sharia is hadith according to some hadith Hazrat Muhammad S.A.W.W orderd to kill those who disrespect Hazrat Muhammad During War.

But in Some cases Hazrat Muhammad S.A.W.W forgive them like the woman who disrespect him and throw garbage on him

History:The offences relating to religion were first codified by India's British rulers in 1860, and were expanded in 1927. Pakistan inherited these laws when it came into existence after the partition of India in 1947. Between 1980 and 1986, a number of clauses were added to the laws by the military government of General Zia-ul Haq.

Why blasphemy Law exist. The first purpose of those laws is to protect Islamic authority. By the constitution (Article 2), Islam is the state religion By the constitutions Article 31, it is the countrys duty to foster the Islamic way of life.To create harmony between all religion.

Misuse of Law:Misuse of law is major subject who against this law. Most of cases registered on personal vendetta. Those who are accused of blasphemy may be subject to harassment, threats, and attack.Use for Political gain.

Useful law for Counter of Misuse:The only law that may be useful in countering misuse of the Blasphemy law is PPC 153 A (a), whoever "by words, either spoken or written, or by signs, or by visible representations or otherwise, whatsoever, disharmony or feelings of enmity, hatred or ill-will between different religious, racial, language or regional groups or castes or communities" shall be fined and punished with imprisonment for a term that may extend to five years.

Strength of Law:Public opinion is major strength of this law according to Amnesty International 68% people support this law Support religious harmony .Discourage those people who want religious anarchy in Society

Weakness in law:

Witness requirement is not enough and strong.Protection problem of accused until proven guilty.Most of people killed or murdered before court trial.Authority can not reform it due to their life threads.Accused skipped or hide due to life thread.No punishment against the who make false allegation.

Reforms in blasphemy law is not a blasphemy.

Suggestion for reforms:To Stop Misuse of Law I suggest some reforms that are necessary in LawProtect accused until proven guilty or innocent.Give 3 days time to accused to take back blasphemy act or words and do apologies in order to find the truth3 witnesses in not enough should increase the number of witnessesSame punishment give to person who make false allegation.

Opinion And Suggestion:In my opinion this law is important in which society for mutual harmony of people that they can tolerate and respect to each other religion. So this law should exist in Pakistan but government should protect the minority and their religion as well and take measure to stop misuse of blasphemy law.
