By helping students set goals, monitor their progress, and celebrate their successes, students become optimistic and positive about life long learning. Regardless of cultural background, educational history, or family circumstances, all students can grow, develop, and succeed. I motivate and encourage my students to become productive citizens by utilizing the seven habits of highly effective people. Finally, I maximize student success by planning, organizing, and prioritizing our schedule to meet the needs of my students. My excellent communication skills allow me to engage with my peers at the professional level as well as with the parents to make sure that the child’s success is of the utmost importance. Teaching experiences and specialties: Differentiated and data driven instruction: Tracked data and created groupings to drive my instruction for differentiated mini-lessons in Hawk Ridge’s Personalized Learning module for math. Utilized MAPS data and anecdotal notes to organize, conduct, and monitor individualized tutoring sessions at Pinewood ES. Balanced Literacy: Conferenced with students during workshop by focusing on the continuum designed by Teacher’s College. Emphasized theme/symbols across texts in Read Aloud for U-Z level readers. Lead the “Read to someone” and “word work” stations in Daily 5 model at OPES. Conducted whole group persuasive writing and poetry lessons at Smithfield ES using social studies integration of Common Core and NCES standards. Technology:
