VANDERBILT UNIVERSITY MEDICAL CENTER, NEUROLOGY SLEEP, NASHVILLE, TN 2008 – PRESENT ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT I (2011 – PRESENT) Provide Administrative Support to 11 providers serving the sleep issues of adult and pediatric clients. Manage the calendar of the Neurology Sleep Division Head, Sleep Medical Director, Fellowship Director, and four
other faculty members. Arrange and set-up complex meetings with senior executives, faculty, staff, and for peer-to-peer sessions.
Coordinate project for the Ingram Barge Program, to include leading breakout sessions for the spouses of Ingram Barge captains, pilots, and steersmen. Give program updates to the Program Director and the Ingram Barge Vice President of Safety. Directly support the Sleep Clinic Medical Director, and the Ingram Barge Program Director.
Deliver direct administrative assistance to the Neurology Sleep Division Director and Burry Chair Holder, the Sleep Fellowship Director, the Sleep Continuing Medical Education (CME) Director, and others.
Coordinate visits to Vanderbilt. Conduct account invoicing and receivables, and procurement card reconciliations. Maintain databases. Arrange new hire and fellowship candidate interviews; provide credentialing assistance to outgoing Fellows.
Manage the budgets for, and organize and coordinate all aspects of the Multidisciplinary Sleep CME/CEC Events. Complete employment verifications, new hire orientations and evaluations. Arrange for domestic and international
travel arrangements and travel report reimbursements using Concur. Coach, and troubleshoot for the Captains, Pilots, and Steersmen. Report sleep therapy compliance of the Captains,
Pilots, and Steersmen to the US Coast Guard.
OFFICE ASSISTANT IV (2008 – 2011) Performed routine office duties including: copying, document editing, filing, and proofreading. Developed a new
mailroom system that served 150 faculty, fellows, residents, and staff. Reduced client no-show rates from 32%-8% by producing a new, efficient, and succinct script to better manage
client communications. Mitigated patient issues, complaints, provided troubleshooting, and resolution for IT issues for the Sleep Division
and the Neurology Department.
