HabitatBlack-capped chickadees are most commonly found in forest edges, yards, wetlands, willow thickets, cottonwood groves, and disturbed areas. They usually nest in birch or alder trees.

Description

The black-capped chickadee is a bird with a black cap and bib making the small eyes hard to see. They have a soft grey back and grey wings edged with white. It has a short neck, large head, and a long narrow tail.
