1. On the turn of the month a B-26 crash landed on the road North of C iaoaaccia. Two men were killed. It was a chastenino eaperience for those  rho sax it.2.  ds or Lawerence G. Hill, our operationsmofficer, was transferred to the 381stS uadron to fill the unit commander vacancy there. It was a break for Ma,

It 's thesecond time that he has been assigned to the 428th in his tour.

7. The morale of the combat crew men arose no end today with the arrival of thefirst crew of a series of replaeements. The deadlock concerning replacementsfor our fighting men is about to be broken.$. T1+ro more crews came in today. Things are looking up. Our Anzio observers

returned today firfl l,y convinced that their place is back here, and that theair over enemy territory was a lead pipe cineh compared to the lot of theAmer i can i nf ant ry rnan , Th ey wer e s car ed s t i f f mo st of t he t i me t hey Rer ethere, and th y weren 't afraid to admit it, either. 12. Lt. Jamea Colleton and  aster Sergeant Ernest '+7ood went home on rotationtoday.
