First component1 On 1 yd. (.9 m) of thread, pick up a repeating pattern of an 110 seed bead and a color A 2.5 x 5 mm SuperDuo bead six times. Sew through all the beads again to form a ring, exiting the next A and leaving an 8-in. (20cm) tail. Continue through the open hole of the same A (figure 1). Set the working thread aside for the next step.2 With the tail, sew through the next A, pick up a 3mm round bead, and con-tinue through the A on the opposite side of the ring (figure 2, a–b). Sew back through the 3mm, and continue through the A your thread exited at the start of this step, going in the same direction (b–c). End the tail.3 With the working thread, pick up two color B 2.5 x 5mm SuperDuo beads, and sew through the open hole of the next A (figure 3, a–b). Repeat this stitch to complete the round, and continue through the first two Bs added in this

round (b–c). Sew through the open hole of the second B (c–d).4 Pick up two Bs, and sew through the next B (d–e). Pick up one A, and sew through the next B (e–f). Repeat these stitches to complete the round, and continue through the first two Bs added in this round (f–g). Sew through the open hole of the same B (g–h).5 Pick up an A, and sew through the next B (figure 4, a–b). 6 Pick up a 3 x 2mm crystal rondelle, and sew through the next SuperDuo (b–c). Work another stitch with a ron-delle and another one with a B (c–d).7 Work five more stitches using the rondelles (d–e).8 Repeat steps 5–7 to complete the round (e–f), retrace the thread path of the round to tighten, and exit the first A added (f–g). Sew through the open hole of the same A (g–h). Set the component aside, and do not end the working thread.

Remaining components1 Repeat steps 1–4 of “First component.”2 Position the first component next to the new component so two adjacent As added in the last round are nearest the new component (these As should have two rondelles between them). The working thread from the new component should be pointing toward the first component, and the working thread from the first component should be on the opposite side. 3 With the working thread from the new component, sew through the open hole of the nearest A in the first component with the needle pointing

toward the two rondelles (figure 5, a–b). Continue through the next B in the new component (b–c).4 Work two stitches with rondelles (c–d).5 Sew through the open hole of the nearest A in the first component (d–e), and continue through the next B in the new component (e–f).6 Work a stitch with a rondelle (f–g). Repeat this stitch four more times.7 Work a stitch with an A, two stitches with rondelles, and a stitch with an A. 8 Work five stitches with rondelles, and retrace the thread path of the entire round. Make sure to not over-tighten the beadwork, or the two components will not bend at the connection properly. End the working thread of the new component.9 Repeat steps 1–8 to make and attach four more components.

Clasp1 With the working thread from the first component, pick up three 110s, sew through the first loop of the clasp, and sew back through the last 110 added (figure 6, a–b). Pick up two 110s, and sew through the A your thread exited at the start of this step (b–c). Retrace the thread path twice, and sew through the other hole of the same A.2 Sew through the beadwork to exit the open hole of the next A in the last round.3 Repeat step 1 to attach the third loop of the clasp, and end the working thread. The center loop of the clasp will not be attached to the beadwork. 4 Add 14 in. (36 cm) of thread to the other end of the bracelet, and exit the open hole of an A with the needle pointing away from the beadwork.5 Repeat steps 1–3 to attach the other half of the clasp. w
