What is BalakalakaarA Platform to enable and empower the
children of the underprivileged section to impart
knowledge and experience, extending lifetime
learning and training opportunity from top of the
line academies respectively. It is also an opportunity
to send
adoptions
for a social
cause.
Project ThemeLet's Spread Smiles :)
Think of the time when you were walking
down the street and you see a bunch of
small children collecting plastic from the
dumpsters, or children walking down the
street whose heels are inhumanly roughned
by their bare feet walks. We believe children
, atleast of all other, deserve to live a much
better life. They
deserve more
care, more
education,
more
opportunities,
and if not any
of these, at
least more
smiles
AIESEC Chandigarh's
VisionAIESEC Chanidgarh has been actively working
on empowering and uplifting all the underprivil
-ed children with projects like "Footprints"
being one of the most impacting projects since
last decade and "Balakalakaar" since 2009. This
year, 2013, AIESEC Chandigarh is focusing on
impacting more lives of these underprivileged
children, and with Balakalakaar we are striving
in the following domain:1. Partnering in more than 20 NGOs of the Tri-City to
impact maximum lives possible.
2. Directly impacting more than 6000 lives of underprivileg
-ed children through various events and pre events of
balakalakaar.
3. Inspiring people from various groups of people from
different social and coporate sectors to realize their
responsibility towards these underprivileged children

Event Structure
This year we would have just one pre-event named “Pukaar”(a call
for a change) . It would be a marathon wherein we would engage
500 volunteers along with out clientele and encourage them to
adopt a social cause. It would be a major event for marketing Bkk .
The entire plan for this is also ready.
Pre-event pukaar 10th June 2013
Main event Balakalakaar 22nd June 2013
The main event would take place in middle of June. The main day
would have a sports and a talent event running parallel. We would
have delegations from schools and NGO’s for the same. In the
middle of the day we have a “meals on wheels” campaign where in
we provide food to these children . Few selected children would
get training in the respective fields where they show their interest.
There is a proper partnership plan for the same.
