WSBK – Round Silverstone Still a victory for Chaz Davies !!! WSS 600 SUPERSPORT Chaz Davies gets his fourth victory in the season in the Silverstone Supersport race. “Our” Chaz is still first in the Championship standings, after leading a master race on his Yamaha of ParkinGO team, thus increasing his leadership. After his starting in the third place and his masterful passing on “Copse” bent over Rea during the second lap, Chaz chased the race leader, the French rider Marino. He could get the leadership at the 5° lap and has never lost his concentration in the following laps, so that he kept his position, thanks also to the good set-up on his R6 in the fast Silverstone circuit. Davies’s success represents one step forward in the Championship standings, as he reaches 146 points, with 42 points ahead David Salom, 45 ahead Foret and 51 ahead Parkes. Considering there are just four races, this gap is really big. Bad luck for Luca Scassa, his teammate: after a bad start (13° at the first lap), he was not able to recover and to fight for the first positions. WORLD SUPERSTOCK 1000 Italian podium in the Silverstone Superstock 1000 race: the winner was Petrucci, after struggling with Giugliano (crashed on the second-last lap); second and third finished Zanetti (BMW Motorrad Italia) and Canepa (Ducati Lazio Motorsport) with 34 milliseconds each other, after struggling up to the finish line!!! Good job for “our” Canepa, coming back to racing after months of inactivity after the unlucky experience in Moto GP, already at the top with his Ducati of Team SS Lazio equipped with our suspensions. A good race also for Markus Reiterberger (BMW Team Garnier Alpha Racing), sixth on his first race in this Championship and already very competitive.
