MOTOGP – MOTO2 ANOTHER GREAT RACE FOR TAKAHASHI, SECOND AT LE MANS Takahashi and Team Gresini took another great result at Le Mans in the Moto2 class. The weekend didn’t start well, but it ended with a great second place for rider Yuki Takahashi. The team will obviously be working hard over the next few weeks in order to provide the Japanese rider with a winning bike for Barcelona. Teammate Michele Pirro had problems fighting in a group in France, but also expects more from the next race Yuki Takahashi (2nd) I am happy with the result, which is the culmination of the great job that we have done this weekend. It is also good to have taken the points that move me up to fourth in the standings. The weekend didn’t start in the best way possible, but we have stood strong and recovered. The team worked well and I am confident about the future.” Michele Pirro (14th ) “There is little to say. When I was riding on my own I was up there with the best lap times, but when I reached the group I was unable to gain places. We have to work in order to find the best balance between an agile bike and a responsive bike. We will try to gain positions in Barcelona.” Fausto Gresini It wasn’t easy, after all that we had suffered on Friday. However, we found a solution to the problems and in the end we reaped the rewards with Takahashi. We are much more confident about the future today, and I believe that in Barcelona we can do even better. Pirro needs to find the right motivation and the guys in the team will work hard in order to give him a bike that suits his characteristics.”
