This man is credited with being thefirst to winter cattle in the Western Montana valleys in the 1850’s.
This man started the Grant-KohrsRanch as a hired hand in 1929. Hepurchased the ranch, house, and trustin 1940. He is responsible for turningthe ranch over to the National Park Systemin 1972.
