Base inside lb arizona blitz

4-4 BASE ILB ARIZONA BLITZ

Defensive Line: DE - Line up inside shade of TE's. Shoot "C" gap. DT - Line up on G and shoot the "B" gap to allow ILB's to blitz "A" gap.

Linebackers:

OLB - Line up on outside shade of TE's and a yard and a half off theline of scrimage. Have "D" gap responsibility and outside containment.

Zone coverage in the flats.

ILB - Line up behind DT's and blitz the "A" gap.

Defensive Backfield:

DB - Line up on farthest outside WR and will help OLB with outside

containment for run support. Zone coverage on outside medium\deep zone.

FS - Line up 8-12 yards off line of scrimage over TE. Provide run support and has deep middle zonecoverage on deepest receiver.

SS - Line up 7-10 yards off line of scrimage over TE. Provide run support and has middle medium zone.

Defensive Line:

DE - Line up inside shade of TE's. Shoot "C" gap.

DT - Line up on G and shoot the "A" gap to allow ILB's to blitz "B" gap.

Defensive Line: DE - Line up inside shade of TE's. Shoot "D" Gap and will provide

outside containment.

DT - Line up on G and shoot the "A" gap.

Linebackers:

OLB - Line up on outside shade of TE's and a yard and a half off theline of scrimage. The OLB's will blitz the "C" gap.

ILB - Line up behind DT's and have "B" gap responsibility. Covermedium flat zone.


DB - Line up on farthest outside WR and will have outside containment for run support. Zone coverage onoutside medium\deep zone.

Defensive Line:

DE - Line up inside shade of TE's. Shoot "C" gap. DT - Line up on G and shoot the "A" gap.

OLB - Line up on outside shade of TE's and a yard and a half off theline of scrimage. Blitz on the outside of TE, "D" gap.

4-4 BASE SAFETY INDY BLITZ

Defensive Line: DE - Line up inside shade of TE's. Shoot "C" gap. RDT - Line up on G and shoot the "B" gap to draw the G\C block.

This will open a hole for the "A" gap to allow FS to blitz.

LDT - Line up on G and shoot the "A" gap to draw G\C block tooccupy linemen for FS to blitz free.

Linebackers:

OLB - Line up on outside shade of TE's and a yard and a half off theline of scrimage. Have "D" gap responsibility and outside containment.Zone coverage in the flats.

RILB - Line up behind DT's and will provide DE to DE run support,

preferred on strong side. Zone coverage on in right middle of field, 5-8 yards deep to cover TE pro-pass.

LILB - Line up behind DT's and has "B" gap responsibility. Zone coverage on the left middle of field, 5-8yards deep to cover TE pro-pass.


DB - Line up on farthest outside WR and will help OLB with outside containment for run support. Zonecoverage on outside medium\deep zone.

FS - Line up 8-12 yards off line of scrimage over TE. Will need to creep up on line of scrimage to time thesnap so he is at full speed as ball is snapped. Blitz through right "A" gap. If FS is 4-5 yards off the ball when playhas started, call blitz off and is responsible for "A" gap and can roam on pass.

SS - Line up 7-10 yards off line of scrimage over TE. Provide run support and has deep middle zone for

coverage on deepest receiver over middle or helps DB on deep routes.

Base safety washington blitz

4-4 BASE SAFETY WASHINGTON BLITZ

Defensive Line:

RE - Line up inside shade of TE's. Shoot "B" gap to draw blockers tothe inside.

LE - Line up inside shade of TE's. Shoot "C" gap. DT - Line up on G and will shoot the "A" gap.

Linebackers: OLB - Line up on outside shade of TE's and a yard and a half off the

line of scrimage. Have "D" gap responsibility and outside containment.Zone coverage in the flats.

RILB - Line up behind DT's and will cover "C" gap. Zone coveragemedium middle zone over TE pro-pass.

LILB - Line up behind DT's and will cover "B" gap. Zone coverage medium middle zone over TE pro-pass.

4-4 BASE ZONE\MAN STEELER COMBO

Defensive Line:

DT - Line up on G and will shoot the "A" gap. DE - Line up on inside shade of TE and will shoot "C" gap.

Linebackers:

WOLB - Line up on outside shade of TE's and a yard and a half offthe line of scrimage. Have "D" gap responsibility and outside containment.

Zone coverage in the flats. SOLB - Man coverage on RB in flats or if RB does not run to flat will

blitz. The SOLB will cover the man closest to the OT if the Offense is linedup with trips.

ILB - Line up behind DT's and have "B" gap responsibility. Zonecoverage medium middle zone over TE pro-pass.

SDB - Line up on farthest outside WR and will help OLB with outside containment for run support. Has manto man coverage on outside WR on strong\wide side of the field. If the Offense is lined up with doubles or tripsthen the FS will cover the SB on the immediate inside of the widest WR .

WDB - Line up on farthest outside WR and will help OLB with outside containment for run support. Zone

coverage on outside medium\deep zone. FS - Line up 8-12 yards off line of scrimage over TE. Will cover man to man on TE or SB. SS - Line up 7-10 yards off line of scrimage over TE. Cover 1 Deep Zone.
