The Weekly Watts Up
Cards Against Humanity Fundraiser
On November 11th (aka tomorrow), Bison Robotics will be hosting a CAH tournament as a
fundraising event in the Memorial Union from 5-9pm! The entry fee is $5, which includes
snacks. Tell everyone, and spread it like the bubonic plague. There will be over $500 in prizes
up for grabs! Astounding. Contact [email protected] with any questions or comments.
FRC Jumpstart Volunteering Opportunity
On December 5, 2015, FRC 4607 is hosting an all-day training event for high school FIRST
Robotics teams. The team running it has asked Bison Robotics for help running the event in
the form of 10-15 behind-the-scenes volunteers and a few presenters. If you are interested in
helping as a behind-the-scenes volunteer, sign up HERE. Remember to mark your calendars if
you are already signed up! There will be a planning meeting this Friday, November 13th from 4-
5pm in Dolve 118; I do not think it will actually take the full hour. If you cannot make it, email
me for the necessary info. During this meeting, we will be planning transportation, going over
essential info about the event, and checking up on the presentations made by some
individuals. Contact [email protected] with any questions you may possess.
Hungry Games at NDSU
Want to help the rebel efforts and support the Bison Robotics District? Donate
cans/non-perishable items for the Hungry Games; turn in any donations to Kacy
McCormick. The event is on Nov. 15th at 3pm. If you would like to participate as a
sponsor for the event or just be a spectator, please email
[email protected] for more information. Come cheer on Kacy and Tyler!

The NRMC group has developed a timeline for this month and has
gotten several electrical/programming projects rolling. Some of the
group’s upcoming goals are to finish the NASA frame, get
everything mounted, and get the robot driving. If you are interested
in helping with the mechanical shenanigans, contact
ryan.j.swanson@ndsu. For electrical/programming, email
Ri3D Drivetrain Project:
If you missed the meeting for this last week, contact [email protected] or
[email protected] for the information! This is a great way to get involved and
prepared for the Robot in Three Days project coming up on January 12th.
Jumpstart Training Event 2015:
Sign up for behind-the-scenes volunteering via the link on the front page! This will be a
great volunteer opportunity for Bison Robotics, and lunch is free!
Meetings are every Monday from 6-8pm. The quad project is
going well: both quads are flying with stable flights. They are
now waiting on parts that will enable the copters to fly
autonomously, and they are going over the competition rules.
They are entering the AUVSI Seafarer competition that will take
place early this summer.
The mechanical and electrical teams have been hard at work. The Creo model
should be completed by the end of this week, and all parts should be ordered by
the end of the month already. Battle Bots is currently looking for people
interested in being part of various necessary subgroups for scouting,
marketing, documentation, and fundraising. If you are interested, contact
Jordyn Johnson. The competition will be taking place in May, 2016 in
Pennsylvania.
