Dear Parents and Carers,
In response to requests for more informa,on
on what your child is learning throughout
each week, and how you can support them at
home on next steps, I have changed the
‘News from the classroom’ sec,on of this
newsle1er to ‘Reflec,ng on learning;
responding and suppor,ng’. I hope that this
will provide you with the informa,on you
need to discuss your child’s learning
experiences over the past week and help
with how you can support at home with what
is to come the following week.
We have already experienced a light dus,ng
of snow this week but we may be due more
over the next few weeks. School will be open
unless a message tells you otherwise. Please
keep a look out for early morning texts, listen
to the local radio, check our Twi1er feed
@BishopHooperCE or look on our school
website www.bishophooper.co.uk for daily
updates.
As most of our pupils and all of our staff
travel to school by car, I will assess the site
and road condi, ons and decide whether or
not it is safe to open the school.
Herefordshire Council have informed us that
Balfour Bea1y will be carrying out some
improvements to roads in our area. There will
be resurfacing work being carried out on the
C1054 Bleathwood Lane (On the County
boundary line). The road will be closed
between 9:00am and 5:00pm from Monday
4th
February to Wednesday 6th
February
(inclusive). I hope that this will not cause too
much disrup,on to your journeys to and from
school.
Kind regards,
Class 1
Gabriella Ginger For your amazing Chinese dragon art work.
Class 2
Zara Crossley
For excellent reading this week.
Class 3

have learned about and sequenced the
story of why each year is named after an

maths, investigating every day materials in
science and studying the work of the artist
Lowry.
